Spring is finally upon us, and with it, a new burst of life from our Central Coast entertainment scene. From festivals to fairs, and challenges to mariners, this guide is our way of welcoming you into the spirit of the season.
Plant Lovers Fair, Kariong Mountains High School
16 – 17 September
Plant parents: this one’s for you. Join in for a full weekend celebration of rare, unique and unusual plants in 40+ exhibitions. Check out the fair’s website here for more info on what plants and products will be available, ranging from the ornamental type to food gardens, trees, ground covers and quality garden products.
Spring Fair at The Springs, Peats RidgeÂ
Saturday, September 16
There’s no better way to start spring than at The Springs itself, especially with the Spring fair they are hosting coming up soon September 16th. There’ll be woodfire pizza, live music, arts and crafts, food stalls – you name it! The fair will be held from 11am – 5pm. Check out their website for more info.

Street Paws Festival, Umina Beach
Saturday, September 23
A fun festival free for all persons and their pooches that supports local rescues! With lots of pet stalls, free-to-enter-comps, photography exhibitions, food trucks and more on offer, this event sponsored by Leslie St Vet Umina is sure to be a great addition to the spring calendar. Make Way All Ages Music Festival, Kincumber
29 September
With food trucks like The German Grill Haus and Mr Gelato and artists like Soda Simulator, Volume Knob, Voider, Jan and Y.E performing, you wont want to miss this all ages and drug/alcohol free Make Way music festival on 6pm-11pm! If you’re one of the first 100 to purchase your $5 tickets here, then you’ll also get a free hotdog and gelato.
Coastal Twist Festival –Â Woy Woy, Ettalong, Gosford, UminaÂ

What is the Coastal Twist Festival? Seven days of jam-packed surprises, playful and profound fun, and learnings with LGBTIQA+ arts & culture from across our region, state and country! The Entrance Spring Fair
Saturday, September 30
The Entrance Spring Fair is coming to the Entrance Memorial Park on Saturday September 30th, and is a free event for all the family to enjoy!
Participate in a dazzling array of up to 80 market stalls, thrilling rides for children of all ages, bands and live entertainment on the Memorial Park stage 10am-9pm! Mental Health Art Works! Exhibition, Gosford Regional Gallery

A stop by Gosford Regional Art Gallery and it’s Botanical Gardens is always a good idea for a spring day – rainy or sunny – yet this year there is an even more captivating reason to swing by. With the 2023 theme of “Recovery Happens”, Mental Health Art Works! brings its exhibition to the Coast with a range of works created by people who have been impacted by mental illnesses yet have had the opportunity to tell stories of hope, recovery & growth through art.

Raw Challenge, Doyalson

If you prefer something a little more active, this may be the solution you need. At approximately 7km, gather your friends, family or work crew and tackle this challenging course. When you’re done, enjoy some tasty food, cold drinks and tunes by DJ Magoo. Be sure to register.
Central Coast Mariners, Industree Group Stadium
13 + 20 October
Both the men’s and women’s A-League seasons are set to kick off over two weeks at Industree Stadium. Can our mighty Mariners continue their stunning run of success?
Central Coast Edible Garden Trail, Various Gardens Coastwide
21 – 22 October

ChromeFest, Marine Parade, The Entrance
Friday 27 – Sunday 29 October
Celebrating its 15th year, ChromeFest is back! The Entrance will be a buzz of excitement with show cars on display, live entertainment on five outdoor stages, a street cruise, retro market stalls, trade stands, vintage glamour fashion parade, dance demonstrations, the Australian Pin Up Pageant grand final, roving entertainment and more.

Sunsoli play at Drifters Wharf, Gosford

Homegrown Coastie band formally known as the Sea Gypsies, Sunsoli will be wrapping up their three month, new self-titled album, launch tour. Their second last show of the tour is to be held at the one and only Drifters Wharf.
