On the hunt for the best vegan restaurants and cafes on the Central Coast? Well, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the six of the best and our favourite vegan dishes they serve at each.Â
You’re not a local until you’ve been to Bamboo Buddha, a Balinese-inspired garden oasis tucked away in the suburb of Holgate. You can relax by the koi and goldfish ponds as you peruse the extensive vegan and vegetarian menu. Their signature Buddha Burger, with a walnut patty dressed up with salad leaves, beetroot, carrot, pickle, onions and smoky BBQ sauce, is served alongside the best golden potatoes you’ll ever have. We hate to call it so early but this is the #1 vegan restaurant on the Central Coast.
Jasmine Greens Park Kiosk, Umina Beach
Jasmine Greens is a stone’s throw away from the sandy shores of Umina Beach and serves seriously good range of vegan options. We highly recommend you order the satay tofu salad, plated up with red cabbage and capsicum slaw, cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs and lemon dressing and their own house dukkah. Surrounded by the lush surroundings of the bush and beach, it’s a true gem.
Inside The Best Vegan Restaurants Central Coast
The Secret Café at Charmhaven is one of the Central Coast’s top vegan cafes. Your tastebuds will thank you once you’ve devoured the Brekky Bowl, with kale, roasted tomato, asparagus, mushrooms, a hash brown, beetroot hummus, flaked almond and an avo smash- what more could you want?Â
Pinocchios Wine & Pizza Bar, Gosford
It can be hard to find a vegan pizza that can rival your standard pizza, but with Pinocchios Wine & Pizza Bar that’s exactly what you get. We recommend the Verdure-topped with tomato, not-zarella, eggplant, artichokes, mushroom, olives, pesto and roast capsicum. And if you flash your Coasties Card, you’ll receive 10% off your meal.
It’s well known that Woy Woy’s Gnostic Mana serves up some of the best vegan food on the Coast. Located in the heart of Woy Woy, you’ll find the ultimate vegan breakfast wrap, with sliced tofu and soy sauce, baby spinach, hash brown and tomato relish. This alternative, funky spot on the Peninsula will have you coming back for more.
In the divine Toowoon Bay, you’ll find Bay Organics, an organic café that prides itself on using local and high-quality produce, and having a sustainable approach when it comes to food. The rainbow bowl is a favourite amongst locals, and includes a beautifully coloured array of salad and a vegan patty in the middle. You’ll be sure to have a party in your mouth as soon as you take a bite.
Congratulation!
