There’s a new live music event launching on the Central Coast, and it’s doing something a little different.
Launching at Goons Brewing, The Loop is a brand-new live music event series designed for people living with disability, neurodivergent individuals, their friends, families, support workers and the wider community.
But this isn’t about creating a watered-down version of a social event. It’s about building something genuinely fun, welcoming and exciting from the ground up.
Think live bands, proper venues, good food, games, prizes and an atmosphere that feels age-appropriate, social and full of energy. A proper night out, for everyone.
Why inclusive nightlife on the Central Coast needed to change
Miranda Daisy, co-founder of The Loop, founder of Perform Ability and host of The Daisy Chain Effect podcast, knows exactly why inclusion matters.
“I’ve been a singer my whole life. Pubs, stages, corporate gigs, touring shows. I’ve watched a lot of dance floors. And I’ve seen some things…
A woman pulling a man with Down syndrome onto the dance floor because she thought she was being kind. He was uncomfortable. She had no idea.
A person asked to leave a venue because security thought they were drunk. They weren’t. They had an intellectual disability and were escorted out in front of everyone.
A student who wanted to go to the DJ set but knew it would be too loud. Didn’t want to wear their headphones out because they already felt like they stood out. So they just didn’t go.
A wheelchair user who wanted to go to the music festival they’d been hearing about for years. And their parents were already stressed before they’d even looked it up because access is always a problem.
This isn’t rare. This is every weekend, in venues everywhere, because nightlife was never built with everyone in mind. And the ‘inclusive’ version that gets offered instead is usually a hired hall and a playlist. Safe. Boring. Not fun. That’s exactly what The Loop is here to fix.”
Dale Ball, co-founder of The Loop and studio manager at Perform Ability, echoes that.
“As someone who has been in the industry for 15 years, there has never been anything like this on the Coast. We wanted to create something genuinely cool. Everything out there is watered down, and we want to give people the opportunity to do something exciting, to belong and to fit in.”
How The Loop approaches accessibility at their live music events
Accessibility isn’t being added in later. It’s built into the DNA of the event from the beginning.
The Loop is backed by the team behind Perform Ability, one of Australia’s leading inclusive performing arts programs, bringing 17 years of experience in creating meaningful and accessible experiences. That means sensory supports, accessibility planning, support-aware staff and an environment designed to help people feel safe, comfortable and genuinely included. Not singled out. Not tokenised. Just welcomed.
And while the first events may feel intimate, the vision is huge. The team’s long-term goal is to create Australia’s biggest inclusive live music event, with these nights as the foundation for something much larger.

What to expect at a Loop event on the Central Coast
So what does a night at The Loop actually look like?
Board games on the tables, thoughtful touches throughout the venue, a calm quiet space when you need a moment, and a few surprises kept up their sleeve. The kind of detail that makes you feel like someone genuinely considered you before you walked in the door.
Loop events will be 18+, with plans to introduce mini loops for a younger crowd down the track.
