The dining scene in Gosford continues to blow our minds – and tastebuds – away, truly. These Gosford restaurants make up some of the finest eateries across the Central Coast with a truckload of awards and positive reviews. Of course, there are our stock standard favourites, but we also welcome a few fabulous newcomers who are grabbing our attention and pleasing our tastebuds. Check out our top picks right now:
1. Fedeles, East Gosford
Sitting firmly at the top of the list with its passion for providing authentic Italian cuisine and an unforgettable atmosphere, it’s no wonder Fedeles was awarded the Most Outstanding Restaurant Award on the Central Coast for 2022/2023 at the local business awards. Using only the freshest and most local ingredients, they’re committed to cooking up the most delicious pastas, classic pizzas and specialty cocktails crafted by experienced mixologists. What we also love about these guys is that they’re open breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week. Check out their website for more tantalizing inspiration!
2. Hotel Gosford
Continuing to draw the crowds (and for good reason) after their epic facelift in the tail end of 2021, Hotel Gosford is the go-to for everything from date night to the girl’s night out to catching the footy after work.
The menu at Earl’s Kitchen is all class. They serve up classic dishes but with a twist. While it features a selection of pub meals we all know and love you can also enjoy something a little more adventurous and oh so delicious. We can’t go past the Chargrilled Murray River Cod on Paperbark. Not to mention the wine and cocktail list are very impressive. You won’t be disappointed.

3. Oya Bowl Bar, East Gosford
New kid on the block and go-to for the best Ramen and Donburi around, Oya Bowl Bar on Victoria Street is already turning heads. Tucked away with plenty of outdoor dining you’re instantly transported to a flavour destination like no other, they’re the real deal. With a passion for making their own broth, chashu and karaage from scratch.
Now, we are dying for the Karaage Donburi. Crispy Japanese fried chicken served on a bed of rice. Topped with free-range Ajitsuke Oya branded egg, pickled radish, shallots and deep-fried onion. With your choice of spicy or plain mayonnaise. But let’s be honest everything on the menu is bursting with flavour and begging to be ordered.
Paired with an easy-to-use ordering service, we know that this cute restaurant will quickly become a Coastie fave!
4. Lyon’s Den
Though this spectacular restaurant-worthy cocktail-bar fav of ours is currently closed for it’s new, spunky revamp and relocation, this is definitely one to add to the list for the very near future (2024/25 summer!). Featuring a unique, Coastie-run South African kitchen made truly authentic with the collaboration of Saffas (South Africans) from Old Mates Kitchen, Lyon’s Den is well known not just for its delicious bites to eat (South African ‘boerewors’ sausages are a must-try), but also it’s amazing cocktails and numerous fun events, including a range of “Den Expriences” which make for perfect birthday, hens or just-because parties. Lucky for us, it’s about to get even more spectacular with it’s new rooftop bar, outdoor cinema and Den arcade – so definitely be sure to stay in tune!
