After the endless rains over the past few years, it’s almost felt surreal to have a brilliantly sunny summer here on the Central Coast (not that we are complaining). We’re totally loving that it’s March and we’re still lapping up the sunshine and beach days. Is there anything better (or more refreshing) to do on a super hot day than grab a delicious gelato, in your favourite flavour? We think not. And, we know, for sure, that the kidlets will most definitely agree with us!
We’ve been out scouting and tasting (of course) the top spots to find yourself a gelato and ice cream on the Central Coast. These are the top 5 contenders that we cannot love enough.
Which one is your fave? Don’t forget to tag us when you’re out an about enjoying your scoops.
Best Ice Cream on the Central Coast
1. Duff’s Ice Cream, Noraville
You can see what new flavours are on rotation over at Duff’s Insta page or head on over to their website to subscribe, buy merch and of course premium ice cream.
26 Budgewoi Rd, Noraville
2. Mr Goaty, Coastwide
Ah how we love Mr Goaty.
Having recently turned their gelato business into a fully mobile offering you can catch them at most of the local Central Coast markets and events. You won’t miss Mr Goaty – they’re always the most popular of all the food trucks!
What’s more exciting is that you can book them (either their van or one of their super fun vintage gelato bikes) for your next private party or event. It’s no wonder they have become a massive hit on the wedding scene, winning multiple awards within the wedding industry.
Speaking of awards – their gelato also takes the crown for “Best Gelato in NSW”. Freshly-churned right here on the Central Coast from premium ingredients that make for mouth-wateringly delicious taste sensations that are well worth the lineup.
And, ssssh don’t tell anyone, but a little birdie might have shared with us that a beachside gelato bar is next on the cards for Mr Goaty. So, stay tuned Coasties!
In the mean time find out where Mr Goaty’s next event is over at their Insta.

Long-standing veterans of the ice cream business on the Central Coast the team at Terrigal Ice Creamery (headed up by legendary local David, who’s owned the store for 16 years) are pros when it comes to scoops. Not only can you expect the widest range of flavours (including an impressive dairy-free range, might we add) but you’ll also be met with the friendliest service. Â
