The best dog friendly Central Coast Cafes
Looking for the best dog-friendly cafés and venues on the Central Coast? Well, look no further. We’ve done the research and found ten of the best in the region. Enjoy a delicious brunch with your furry bestie and maybe go for a scenic (w-word) around the beautiful environments the Coast has to offer. Let’s go…
1. Ocean Haus, Terrigal
A local fave where you can pair coffee and snacks with some retail therapy. Well-behaved pups are allowed inside where they can settle in with you on the couches or centre table. It doesn’t matter if you are dreaming of waves or coffee, at Ocean Haus you can have both.
2. Burnt Honey, Copacabana
Burnt Honey brings together the baking genius and passion of owners Joanna and Hayley, who opened their Copacabana bakery-café in 2019 to much excitement from the community. Just taking a scroll through their Instagram makes us instantly hungry, with the amount of delicious pastry pics they post. Burnt Honey’s ethos of sustainability, prime beach-side location and dog-friendly environment definitely sets this café apart from the rest.
3. Cue and Crew, The Entrance North
If brisket and burgers are your thing, grab your pup and a picnic table at Cue and Crew at the North Entrance. They have a chilled out vibe and are the masters of smoked meats. Our go-to is the smoked brisket and egg roll.
4. The Pantry, Forresters Beach
Tucked away from the crowds The Pantry at Forresters Beach is a total hidden gem. Found within The Quarters complex, this gorgeous poolside cafe offers breakfast and lunch. But we’re really here for the happy hour every day from 1pm and live music the first Saturday of the month. Plus outdoor seating aplenty for those with pups.
5. Coast 175, Ettalong
It’s no wonder this popular little brunch spot in Ettalong gets jam-packed on weekends, their brekky and lunch options are super delish. Out the back and on the street is dog friendly, so the whole family can come along. Check out the full menu at Coast 175 Café.
6. Tommy’s Café, Gosford
Â
Â
Opposite Gosford waterfront, this stylish and outdoorsy café is only one step away from one of the Coast’s greatest dog walks. Before going for a waltz with your doggo along the Point to Pelican cycleway or through Lion’s Park, enjoy Tommy’s delicious breakfast or lunch menu.

7. Like Minds, Avoca
With a large garden for your furry friend to enjoy whilst you sip on the finest coffee in the area, this café is one of the best dog friendly cafes on the Coast. Like Minds also hosts pasta and falafel nights on certain Fridays of the month and dogs are allowed to visit then also.
8. The Box on the Water, Ettalong
Okay, your dog isn’t allowed inside but there’s plenty of seating in the partly-covered outdoor area of The Box on the Water and your pooch is welcome to join you there. The Box is one of the most popular Ettalong cafes and it’s no surprise why with its sea views and modern Australian cuisine. An additional bonus about this spot is that it turns into a slick restaurant with a daily happy hour once the sun sets.
9. Jasmine Greens, Umina
If you’re a dog parent and also a kid parent then Jasmine Greens in Umina is a brilliant dog-friendly café. Although more of a kiosk, it’s attached to the biggest park on the Central Coast and offers some super fresh eats, with its owner having her eye firmly on fresh, in-season and local produce. Try the avo on toast – a herb-filled game changer.

10. The Anchor Coffee House, Budgewoi
The menu at The Anchor Coffee House in Budgewoi is an absolute winner, with everything from fresh vegie wraps and pancake stacks to kombucha on tap and fresh juices. And it’s one of the few dog-friendly cafes in the northern reaches of the Central Coast.
11. Bay Road Brewing, Gosford
Ok, yes we know Bay Road is not a cafe! But, we feel totally worthy of making it into this list. After all, what’s better than sharing a brew with your bestie?
With a wide selection on tap, food trucks, live music and heaps of events and 100% pup friendly there is no better place to have a few sundowners on a Friday arvo.
