Central Coast Rhinos – Australian Ice Hockey League
Sunday 30 May | Erina Ice Arena, Erina
Fast, loud and physical, AIHL games are always a good watch. The Central Coast Rhinos are back on home ice at Erina, taking on teams from across the country in Australia’s top-level ice hockey competition. There’ll be hard hits, big energy and an enthusiastic crowd that really gets into it. There’s food, drinks and the Rhinos Bar open during games too, so it’s an easy family outing or something different to do with mates on a weekend.
Words on the Waves Writers Festival
Wednesday 27 May – Monday 1 June | Central Coast peninsula
Our fave literary festival returns in 2026, bringing a week-long celebration of stories, ideas and creativity to the Central Coast. The program includes author talks, panel discussions, writing workshops, book launches, a literary cruise, family events and a schools program, attracting acclaimed writers alongside emerging voices. It’s a vibrant festival for book lovers, curious minds and anyone who enjoys a great conversation sparked by great writing.

Coast Shelter Reconciliation Gathering
Thursday 28 May | Gosford
Part of National Reconciliation Week, this annual gathering brings the community together for a meaningful morning of connection, culture and learning. Starting at Coast Shelter on Mann Street, the community will march to polytec Stadium for a smoking ceremony, cultural performances and storytelling, finishing with a BBQ lunch. It’s a chance to come together, listen, learn and show your support in a really grounded, community-led way.
Food Truck Friday
Friday 29 May | Wyong Milk Factory
Treat yourself with local faves The Cob Shop, Dumplings by Jie, El Gringo BBQ, Crepes by Heart, The Marshmallow Co and more. Come hungry and don’t commit to just one thing too early. There’ll be live music, riverside seating, playground space for the kids and the Tavern open for drinks if you feel like stretching the night out a bit longer. Happy hour also runs from 3:30–5:30pm.
Repair Cafe Terrigal
Saturday 30 May | Terrigal Uniting Church
Got something sitting at home that should be fixable but hasn’t been touched in months? Bring it along. The Repair Cafe is all about giving things a second life, with local volunteers helping out with everything from bikes and small appliances to clothing, tools and more. It’s free (unless parts are needed), and there’s wood-fired pizza and coffee while you wait — runs on the last Saturday of each month, so you can make a habit of it.
Trafalgar Turn Up!
Saturday 30 May | Tropicana & Skeleton!, Woy Woy
Tropicana and Skeleton! are throwing a party before winter kicks in – they’ve got DJs, a record fair, pop-up deli snacks, cocktails, craft beers and natural wines flowing across both venues. Trop’s running a special Italian deli menu alongside the pizzas, while Skeleton! is doing a one-off mini menu of their cult sandwiches. Starts at 12pm and rolls on ‘til late.
Frothin Sunsets
Saturday 30 May | Long Jetty Boatshed
House music by the water, burgers in hand, cocktail in the other – that’s the brief. With 60mls bringing their mobile cocktail bar and Forrest Music on the decks, enjoy a cruisy sunset sesh at the Boatshed. Easy plan with good people and a solid soundtrack.
Whatever It Takes: Night of Nights for Kye
Saturday 30 May, 6pm | Gosford RSL
The community is coming together for a special fundraising evening to support 17-year-old Kye McIntosh, who is currently undergoing intensive rehabilitation following a tragic surfing accident at Wamberal in 2025. The community will raise funds to help with essential home and vehicle modifications as he works towards returning home, with MC Paddy Gerard (Triple M) hosting the night. If you can’t attend, organisers are also calling for donations of auction or raffle items – get in touch if you’d like to learn more, every contribution will make a real difference on Kye’s journey.
Brews & Braids
Sunday 31 May | Little Miss, Terrigal
Hey dads, if you’ve got kids with long hair & absolutely no idea how to help them style it, this one’s for you. Brews & Braids is a laidback Sunday sesh where pro hairdresser Elly Hanson (from Billi the Salon) teaches the basics – braids, ponytails, the stuff that gets requested at 7:45am. There’ll be drinks, snacks, mannequin heads to practise on, and a take-home kit so it sticks. No experience needed, just a sense of humour and a willingness to give it a go. Limited to 16 spots, $65pp. Your kids will thank you!
FLOP – The Best Songs from the Worst Musicals
Sunday 31 May | Laycock Street Community Theatre, Wyoming
Not every musical can be Hamilton. FLOP dives headfirst into the songs from Broadway’s biggest disasters, forgotten gems and wonderfully questionable theatre moments — all led by musical theatre tragic (and The Voice finalist) Arthur Hull. It’s funny, self-aware and clearly made by someone who genuinely loves the chaos of musical theatre. Even if you don’t know the shows, you’ll absolutely recognise the type. Buy tickets.

Central Coast Harvest Festival
Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 June | Central Coast hinterland
Step behind the farm gate to discover local food, farming and country life on the other side of the M1. Enjoy local produce, farm tours, hands-on workshops, talks and family-friendly experiences. Plus for the first time, Harvest Nights extends the festival after dark – sunflowers at sunset, outdoor cinema, farm camping and nocturnal zoo tours. It’s a self-guided trail across rural communities that a lot of us don’t get to experience. Most hubs are free entry. Some ticketed events will sell out, so check the program and book ahead.

Glenworth Grazing Festival
Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 June | Glenworth Valley
Over 100 food, wine and drink vendors descend on the valley for two days of grazing, live music and genuinely good vibes. Kids’ zone, camping, the whole deal. Boy & Bear and Sons of the East are headlining this year, alongside a solid lineup that includes Pierce Brothers, Kim Churchill, The Bamboos and a handful of local acts. Early bird tickets are gone but general release is still available — grab them before those sell out too.

Gemma’s Hot Yoga
Thursdays (4 &11 June) | Soul Space Studio, Wyoming
A new Bikram yoga class has landed, and this is your chance to get in early. Gemma’s been a certified instructor since 2014, and after running booked-out classes in the UK and LA, she’s kicking things off locally with a limited Thursday night run before expanding later in the year. Bikram is the OG hot yoga, and these classes are run in a warm (not extreme) room, so you get the benefits without overheating. Structured, straightforward and 100% beginner-friendly. Art Exhibition – Alex Koumertas

Pop into this solo exhibition showcasing local artist Alex Koumertas’ latest work – bold, textured pieces in acrylic and clay that definitely don’t blend into the background. It’s a relaxed evening setup with a DJ, free entry and time to view the collection at your own pace. Open from 5-9pm.
Davistown Progress Association Centenary Celebrations
Saturday 6 June | Davistown Progress Hall & Davistown RSL
Celebrate 100 years of Davistown Progress Association with a full day of community fun, starting with a free Local Business Expo from 9am-2pm, with stalls inside the Progress Hall and along the waterfront.
Step back in time with food trucks, family-friendly activities, a historical display, and a touch of 1920s flair – complete with costume and Charleston dance competitions for those keen to get into the spirit.
Then frock up for the formal Gala Dinner from 6.30pm at Davistown RSL (tickets available here). Supported by Central Coast Council.

Degustation Dinner: Eat Your History
Saturday 6 June | Spencer, Hawkesbury River
This one’s a bit special – a 7 course degustation that blends food with storytelling, live music and a long-table setup, lit by candlelight. They’re preparing a menu inspired by historic recipes and local ingredients (oysters, damper, slow-cooked classics and old-school desserts), each course paired with a bit of context along the way. It runs from 4:30–9pm and sits under the Central Coast Harvest Festival’s Harvest Nights – ideal if you’re up for a cosy mid-winter experience to remember.
Water Mirror
Sunday 7 June | Laycock Street Community Theatre, Wyoming
Part dance show, part percussion concert, part visual spectacle – Water Mirror blends Taiko drumming, acrobatics and projection design into something pretty incredible to watch live. The rhythms are huge, the movement is intense, and the whole thing will have you wondering “how are they doing that?”. Grab tickets if you want to see something different from the usual theatre lineup.
Terrigal Glow – Winter Solstice Market & Entertainment
Friday 19 June | Parklife Cafe & Terrigal Rotary Park
Terrigal’s turning on the glow for a cosy winter solstice evening by the water. Plenty of twinkly lights, live music, whimsical market stalls, hot food, coffee and a big long community table to gather around as the sun goes down. The regular Terrigal Farmers Market will be there too, with extra wintery touches and entertainment throughout the night. Runs 3:30–8pm, bring a lantern, rug up warm and lean into the theme if you feel like dressing to glow.
Coast Shelter Sleepout 2026
Friday 12 June | polytec Stadium, Gosford
One night out in the cold can make a real difference. Coast Shelter’s annual Sleepout is back, inviting locals to come together, raise funds and experience just a small glimpse of what too many in our community are facing. You can sign up to sleep out overnight or simply head along for the evening, with food, community and a strong sense of purpose behind it all. It kicks off from 5pm, with dinner and brekkie included for participants – and every dollar raised goes directly towards supporting Coasties doing it tough.

Bay to Bay Running Festival
Sunday 14 June | Woy Woy to Gosford
Entries opened 27 January, so it’s time to pick your distance and start training. The Bay to Bay Running Festival returns in 2026, taking runners from Woy Woy to Gosford in one of the Coast’s most iconic community events. Whether you’re chasing a PB or just in it for the atmosphere, it’s always a standout day on the local calendar.
The 5 Lands Walk
Saturday 20 June | Macmasters Beach to Terrigal
One of the best days on the Coast calendar is celebrating it’s 20th year. The 5 Lands Walk takes you along 10km of coastline through Macmasters, Copacabana, Avoca, North Avoca and Terrigal, with each stop bringing its own music, art, dance and community feel. Walk the whole thing or hop between beaches on the free Busways shuttles — either way, it’s a proper celebration of what makes this place good. Free to join.

Sydney rock/metalcore outfit Sienna Skies are heading up the coast for their Australian Spring Tour, and they’re kicking it off in Wambi. They’ve been at it for over a decade and bring a set that spans a solid back catalogue – big anthems, heavy moments, the lot. Good one for fans who’ve been around a while and equally good if you’ve never seen them live.
Bluey’s Big Play (The Stage Show)

Australia’s favourite animated (canine) family are back on stage in this theatrical adaptation of the Emmy® award-winning TV favourite.
