A beautiful collaboration has happened recently, and right under our noses. Intro the Central Coast Makers Trail.Â
Four new artisan producers have recently joined the Central Coast Makers Trail. We decided to get out there and explore the self-drive food, drink, agritourism and aquaculture journey. And, what a journey it is.Â
The collective of our region’s finest artisan producers and makers has just doubled in size. With the addition of four new experiences including some of the Coast’s biggest players right in time for this summer holidays. So whether you have a few hours or an entire weekend to explore, the Central Coast Makers Trail is the perfect family adventure for you.
Starting down south at Mooney Mooney and traversing our region right up to Wyong Creek in the North. You’ll get to meet skilled artisans and award-winning providores. You’ll enjoy everything from gourmet tastings to voyages of discovery, family-friendly foraging, bespoke couple and group experiences – it’s without a doubt a hands-on epicurean delight.
The self-indulgent food and drink discovery trail will thrill you with new sensations and behind-the-scenes experiences. It has to be said – the Central Coast’s hidden gems are a secret no more! There really is something for everyone.

Here’s just a snippet of what to expect:
The ‘Immerse Yourself’ in-water experience at Sydney Oyster Farm gives you the opportunity to sample succulent oysters while standing waist-deep in water on the banks of the Hawkesbury.
Not only do you get to meet the winemaker at Firescreek, but sampling bush tucker and learning from an Aboriginal Elder about local culture and traditions is a total highlight.
The kidlets could not get enough of the Junior Chocolatier Workshops at the Chocolate and Nougat Factory in Gosford.
And that is not even half of what the trail has to offer.
