When it comes to a kid friendly cafe, there’s a lot of things we’re looking for as a parent, right? It has to have a fantastic kids area, decent kids menu, and most of all, cater to us adults also.

1. Parklife, Terrigal
Parklife is undoubtedly the #1 kid-friendly café on the Central Coast. There’s plenty of seating near this hole-in-wall kiosk, with freshly baked goods, stellar coffee and chunky sarnies on offer daily. Parklife also create kids snack boxes with healthy treats all packed into an old egg box.
But what stands it apart is that Parklife is set within a large gated park that caters to kids of all ages. There’s a pirate ship area for the toddlers. A flying fox and climbing frame for those who are a bit older. And mats with toys under the trees for real littlies. And plenty of parking out the front. A true all rounder.

2. The Tame Fox, Erina
The Tame Fox is a winner for us at Coasties as you get that brunch experience that you enjoyed pre-kids – think slick breakfast menu, decent coffee and stylish interiors – but an outdoor playground ensures the kids are kept busy as you chow down.
Everything on the menu is a winner and there’s real substantial eats here. There’s also a kids menu, with min-waffles, and the babyccinos are also pretty-as-a-picture. Suitable for pre-schoolers and kids up to age 10.
3. Bumble Bananas, Wyoming
Bumble Bananas is the most perfect kid-friendly café on the Central Coast for little kids, especially pre-schoolers. One wall has been transformed into a blackboard which kids absolutely love scribbling on.
There’s high chairs, a play pen and plenty of toys, including a kitchen, to play with. And the menu is filled with so many home-made classics, like banana bread, coconut bread and freshly made cookies and all at a super-reasonable price.

4. Wyong Milk Factory, Wyong
With a large gated park, with a speed boat, cubby houses and slides to play on, it’s perhaps unsurprising that Wyong Milk Factory is a big hit with parents. The café offers all the breakfast classics, like eggs on toast and a breakfast burrito. And at lunch, there’s fish and chips and burgers. But really, there’s only one thing the kids are interested in here and it’s the gelato. Absolutely outstanding.
5. Warnies Café, Warnervale
For the most extensive kids menu on the Coast look no further than Warnies Café. There’s crazy shakes, pancakes, waffles and the awesome kids lunch box filled with a mini picnic of sandwiches, cookies and lollipop. There’s also a playground for them to burn of the sugar after. A stellar spot for kids of all ages.
6. Kincumber Post Cafe, Kincumber
The courtyard at the back of the Kincumber Post Cafe has a small sectioned-off play area where you can play kitchens and ice-cream stall. And while it might be small, kids absolutely love it. There’s also a special menu for kids, with granola and fresh fruit one of its most popular options. And for those with slightly clumsy toddlers, the babyccinos cup in a cute pastel-hued plastic mug.
