1. The Tame Fox, Erina

The Tame Fox is a winner for us at Coasties as you get that brunch experience that you enjoyed pre-kids – think slick breakfast menu, decent coffee and stylish interiors – but an outdoor playground as well as colouring indoors (for those rainy days) that ensures the kids are kept busy as you chow down.

Everything on the menu is a winner and there’s real substantial eats here. There’s also a kids menu, with min-waffles, and the babyccinos are also pretty-as-a-picture. Suitable for pre-schoolers and kids up to age 10.

2. Parklife, Terrigal

Parklife Coffee in Terrigal is alway a crowd pleaser

Parklife is LIFE!  And, undoubtedly one of the most popular kid-friendly cafés on the Central Coast. There’s plenty of seating near this hole-in-wall kiosk, with freshly baked goods, stellar coffee and chunky sarnies on offer daily. Parklife also hosts regular kid and family-friendly events collab’ing with other local operators.

But what stands it apart is that Parklife is set within a large gated park that caters to kids of all ages. There’s a pirate ship area for the toddlers. A flying fox and climbing frame for those who are a bit older. And mats with toys under the trees for real littlies. And plenty of parking out the front. A true all rounder.

Once you find this gem in Umina, you’ll not want to leave.  The park setting, of Jasmine Greens is a vibe!  Chilled and relaxing the perfect spot to soak up some sunshine as you dine while the kidlets can run free and play.

With a strong focus on chemical free and free-range ingredients that have been sourced locally, you can bet on yummy and healthy meals. Not only that but Jasmine Greens also makes the perfect party venue. A winner every time for us.

4. Wyong Milk Factory, Wyong

With a large gated park, with a speed boat, cubby houses and slides to play on, it’s perhaps unsurprising that Wyong Milk Factory is a big hit with parents. The café offers all the breakfast classics, like eggs on toast and a breakfast burrito. And at lunch, there’s fish and chips and burgers. But really, there’s only one thing the kids are interested in here and it’s the gelato. Absolutely outstanding.

Like Minds has to be one of the most community minded cafes on the Central Coast and the Coast community is home to many families, making this cafe one where little ones are welcomeed with a frinedly face by not only the owners, but the patrons too.  With a small play area (coupled with a few toys) located outside, within the fenced off area of the dining area the kids can lose themself playing games.

The caffeine (by Legend at Gossy) hits the spot every time, plus they also play host to fresh food markets as well as more community collabs and pop ups than you can imagine.

One little tip, there is not too much indoor seating so not that ideal when the rains are here.

6. Warnies Café, Warnervale

For the most extensive kids menu on the Coast look no further than Warnies Café. There’s crazy shakes, pancakes, waffles and the awesome kids lunch box filled with a mini picnic of sandwiches, cookies and lollipop. There’s also a playground for them to burn of the sugar after. A stellar spot for kids of all ages.
