With those multi-million dollar views of Brisbane water, The Dart & Feather is one of the most underrated gems on the Central Coast. Every dish on its expansive menu is sensational, with a focus on rich pasta dishes that you will be thinking about way after you return home. The kids menu is more a mini version of the al carte menu with pasta, arancini and the like.

Sorrento Pizzeria, Empire Bay
A top choice when it comes to kid friendly restaurants on the Central Coast has to be Sorrento Pizzeria. Family run and family friendly, this Italian restaurant is found on the waterfront in Empire Bay is a fun night out for kids of all ages. The owner keeps them busy by offering them some dough to play with. And the woodfire pizza here is some of the best you’ll find on the Coast. Next level supreme!

For those with littlies who aren’t able to sit still, even when handed all the colouring-in supplies, then Sounds on West is for you. This smokehouse restaurant is an off-shoot of the Six Strings Brewery, and the meat-heavy menu is incredible. There’s an outdoor area out the back that allows the free range of kids to roam freely and safely, with chalkboard and games available. A winner.

The Joker & Thief, Terrigal
A cocktail bar in the heart of Terrigal? Yep, The Joker & Thief have a dedicated kids menu that features all the favourites. A huge drawcard here is the homemade ice-cream. Actually, scrap that. The huge drawcard here is that you can sample some of the most superior cocktails on the Coast, and not have to pay the dollar for a babysitter.

Rhonda’s, Terrigal
While Rhonda’s is undoubtedly the playground for adults when the sun goes down, it is surprisingly kid-friendly if you’re up for an early dinner. You can opt for a Mickey Mouse-shaped cheese pizza, or rigatoni Bolognese. There’s also an epic Rhonda’s sundae that is a firm favourite for all ages.
