Ettalong Restaurants
Madame Spice

Ooh la la, but do we love the interiors, the food, the drinks, the vibe… Well actually, if we’re being honest, we love the whole damn lot! We love everything that Madame Spice has to offer. They’re a little bit bold, a little bit mysterious, and pack a whole lot of flavour. Think Pan Asian which means a fresh and modern take on Southeast Asian dining that we can’t get enough of.
Found right in the heart of Ettalong Beach at the Galleria, the sister restaurant to the popular Chica Chica (down the road) opened with a buzz and take it from us that buzz has not stopped. Blending vibrant spices and bold flavours of Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia with a creative, contemporary twist makes every item on their menu irresistible. We die for their spicy beef tartare and punchy curries. And, always have the issue of trying not to order one of every small, share plate that is on the menu. Oh and did we mention the crispy miso duck leg? A crispy, golden delight packed with that addictive crunch and a side of pancakes -pure magic. Pair all of it with one of their signature cocktails and you’ve got yourself a night to remember.

Madame Spice is a whole vibe, that’s both stylish and yet laid-back. It’s perfect for date nights, catch-ups, or feasting with the whole crew. The warm, welcoming service and ever-changing specials keep things exciting, making it a go-to for foodies.
So, what are you waiting for? Book your table at Madame Spice right here now!
Sulos Shish and Pide

Just around the corner from Madame Spice, also in the Galleria, and coming from the genius behind the very popular and award-winning (but now retired) Safran Restaurant, we introduce Sulo’s Shish and Pide. Well, well, well what can we say but simply mouthwatering! Here you’ll find authentic kebabs packed with perfectly seasoned meats, fresh salads, and homemade sauces. Classic wrap or a loaded kebab plate, you’ll, without doubt, get a flavourful, hearty meal at Sulo’s.
What sets Sulo’s apart is their dedication to quality — every kebab is made with fresh ingredients, grilled to perfection, and served just the way you like it. Their lamb shish kebab is a must-try, with tender, juicy cuts of marinated lamb, charred just right and wrapped in warm flatbread with crisp greens, tomato salad and sumac onions, not forgetting the dollop of hummus and house-made cacik sauce. Hmmm, delish with a capital D.

So, there’s incredible food, that’s a given, but Sulo’s Shish and Pide is the kind of spot that offers classic, friendly service that keeps people coming back. These guys truly are nailing the old ‘less is more’ philosophy and, in the most perfect way. They serve up generous portions at great prices, and the taste – unbeatable. Let’s just say this – do not stop by Ettalong without calling into Sulo’s.
No bookings (for groups under seven peeps) are necessary, just walk right in. Otherwise, those with larger groups, just call to book. Visit their site here to check out the menu and keep up to date.
Chica Chica

When a dining spot has been a finalist in the local business awards three years in a row you know they have to be doing something right. And doing it right is what Chica Chica in Ettalong does. They have brought bold South American flavours and vibrant coastal energy to Ettalong’s dining scene. Tucked away upstairs, from the outset this spot might look unassuming, but once you step inside, you’re transported on a South American culinary journey.
Chica Chica is the ultimate destination for lovers of good food, great drinks, and lively vibes. This restaurant and bar is a feast for the senses, serving up an irresistible menu inspired by the flavours of Mexico, Peru, and beyond.
From zesty ceviche and crispy empanadas to perfectly grilled meats and terrific tacos, every dish is designed for sharing and celebrating. Oh and, what would be a restaurant write-up by Coasties Mag without a mention of the cocktails? The cocktails! Need we say more, they are just as impressive as the menu — think refreshing margaritas, pisco sours, and rum-infused creations that pair perfectly with the buzzing atmosphere.
Chica Chica boasts stylish, modern fit-out, upbeat music, and welcoming service, it’s the go-to spot for a fun night out with friends or a relaxed weekend feast.
