While the Central Coast is well known for our amazing bush walks and national parks, beyond that, we also play host to a plethora of epic adventure activities, that will satisfy the wildest of adrenaline junkies out there.  We’ve pulled together a list of all the adventure-style activities that’ll keep you entertained and the thrill-seeking quelled!

Skydive Australia, Belmont

Let’s dive right in, skydive that is.  Our number one pick for the ultimate adventurous activity and the only skydiving to service the Central Coast is located just beyond the Central Coast’s northern borders, you’ll find Skydive Australia’s Belmont base.

Plunge tandem from the plane while you take in the incredible coastal and lake views over the Lake Macquarie beaches and beautiful Lake Macquarie. For anyone who’s skydived before you can attest that the experience is utterly euphoric, mentally your mind grapples with the fact that you’re about to leap from a plane, but once you’ve jumped it feels like flying. Weightlessness overlooking stunning landscapes!  For anyone who hasn’t yet skydived…Well, what are you waiting for?

Book your jump here. And, our hot tip, keep an eye out for a sweet little Coasties Card deal coming soon.

Dive the Ex HMAS Adelaide, Terrigal

Just off the Coast of Terrigal, under the sea lays the former Australian naval warship HMAS Adelaide. The wreck dive doubles as a scuba divers playground.  In 2011 the ship was purpose prepared and sunk to create an artificial dive reef. One of over 100 Central Coast dive sites, and by far one of the most popular.  Many access holes that have been strategically placed throughout the vessel allow easy access for divers to explore the wreck. A great dive during all seasons, divers can also expect to see seals, grey nurse sharks, whales, kingfish, tailors, yellowtail, squid eggs, colourful corals and possibly a whale or two during the whale migration season.

The wreck sits at about 35m down, meaning that divers must hold their Advanced Open Water Certificates or be Deep Certified for this dive.
