From a brand-new zoo to a slick speakeasy bar, here’s seven new openings that are landing on the Central Coast this summer. Oh, it’s going to be a good one.
1. Central Coast Zoo, Wyong
Perhaps the most anticipated opening of the year goes to our region’s first zoo. Central Coast Zoo is located just outside of Wyong, within the grounds of Amazement Park. And it is set to open its doors just before Christmas. Already, they’ve welcomed a pride of lions, marmosets, meerkats and so many more. It’s going to be a great family day out and a huge drawcard to our region.
2. Drifter’s Wharf, Gosford
We can’t wait for this one! The guys behind Mumbo Jumbos and Shady Palms are opening a waterfront bar and eatery, Drifter’s Wharf. And it’s going to be epic. The nautical-themed restaurant is set to open in early December and we’re first in the queue. Gossy is about to arrive.
3. Sorrisos, Toukley
This brand new Italian will open in the heart of Toukley at the end of October, just in time for summer. It’s a great addition to the ever-growing foodie scene in the area, brought to us by the same team behind Dunes by Dish in Soldiers Beach.
4. Hearts & Minds Social, Toukley
Twit twooo. Toukley is getting all the goodies lately. Opening in early November, just in time for summer, is this neat speakeasy bar by the awesome team at Hearts & Minds. If you’re not across their greatness, the team have a string of barbers dotted around the Coast which focus firmly on mental health. The bar will be found in the Hearts & Minds Social that runs as a coffee spot in the day.
5. The Quarters, Forrester’s Beach
This multi-million dollar redevelopment is going to be slick. Set around a lagoon-style pool, The Quarters will become the Coast’s leading eat, play and stay destination. There’s a hotel, restaurant, café and wellness clinic by Dr Shaunna Watts. It’s already pitching itself as a winner of a wedding venue.
6. The Pantry, Forrester’s Beach
And that brings us swiftly to The Pantry, which will be found within The Quarters. It’s the creation of the same team behind two of our region’s leading restaurants, Motel Mezza and Pinocchio’s. They’ve been teasing the aesthetic on their Instagram and we’re into it. Oh so pastel and pretty.
7. Albie’s Coffee Bar
Coming in hot at The Entrance is Albie’s Coffee Bar and well, it’s going to be one of the chicest offerings in the area. Opening a little earlier than summer, you’ll be able to step into this coffee bar from the end of October. We’re personally loving the monochrome branding… and have high hopes that the coffee is going to be delish.
Congratulation!
