Recently we’ve had the delight of getting in touch with the beautiful Kellie of @salty_tails_ and her four-legged, Instagram-famous children Bindi and Minka once again. Being an adventurous, Coast-loving family with great taste in bars, bushwalks and everything beach-related, we wanted to know what their four favourite venues were for using their Coasties Card deals at. Bar Botanica, Erina
A favourite for Kellie, Bindi and Minka is Erina’s European-style cocktail bar Bar Botanica. Whether it’s stopping in for a “light lunch and a sneaking tasting” or wandering the gardens for a “mini escape from the hustle and bustle”, there’s always something for the family to enjoy in the lush, dog friendly garden space. Kellie also mentioned that the bar holds various workshops you can book into using your Coasties Card if you’re looking for a fun group activity or day date. Bringing back memories of their own marriage in a boathouse venue, the Boathouse Patonga is a treasured spot for Kellie and her partner to reminisce as well as enjoy the scenery. For them, the location is perfect – being an outdoorsy family, Bindi and Minka also love to pair the visit with a nice weekend drive or a walk along any of the many bush tracks in the area. Lyon’s Den, Gosford
Kellie and her partner love a good sunset sip at Gosford’s local watering hole, as well as – of course – their furry companions Bindi and Minka, who enjoy their supplied Biltong treats very much. Though they will have to hold out a little longer now due to Lyon’s Den being current closed for it’s new, spunky revamp – featuring a rooftop bar, outdoor cinema and Den arcade – you can bet they’re going to be the first to check out it’s new location coming soon in the very near future of 2024/25 summer! “Try the signature cocktail range for a heap of fun,” Kellie recommended us, whilst mentioning how using the Coasties Card on the bar’s “Bottomless Brunch” offer was something still on her immediate to-do list.
