At Coasties we are all about supporting local. We’ve chosen to make it our personal mission to create awareness of as many small businesses as possible. Whether it’s where to shop, neighbourhood guides, sharing business’ and local hero’s stories, adding to our ever-growing Coasties Card movement, keeping you up to date with epic events, supporting the arts, or sharing the best places to eat and drink. If it’s hot and happening on the Coast we’re on it.
Top Central Coast Restaurants by Local Food Blogger
1. Safran, Ettalong
As Audrey puts it, “There is no question, Safran is my all-time number one favourite which is why I always reserve it for special occasions”.
Dubbed as one of the finest entries on the Central Coast, complete with a chef’s hat (awarded for the third year running) makes Safran a definite must visit.
Serving upmarket Turkish cuisine and adding contemporary and unique twists to authentic, classic dishes Safran never fails to impress.
And, did we mention as Coasties card members you get a free wine with your meal?

2. Crofty’s Cafe, Wadalba
Staying true to the support local movement Audrey cannot go past the delicious breakfasts and lunches at her local cafe Crofty’s in Wadalba.
After all, when a cafe this good is only a 5 minute walk from home it’s no wonder she’s become quite the regular.
T1 1 Figtree Boulevard, Wadalba
3. Bao Brothers, Terrigal
We won’t lie we were just a touch excited to welcome Bao Brothers to their Central Coast home in Terrigal. Because we can just never have enough Bao in our life. It was no surprise that Bao Brothers in Terrigal made Audrey’s top restaurants list.
Audrey’s top pick… hmm, is one of everything acceptable? How to pick when the menu is so diverse? I mean their soda drinks alone are a reason to visit.

4. The Shed, Tuggerah
Located at the Super Centre at Tuggerah The Shed is another of Audrey’s faves for breakfast. Boasting excellent coffee and a menu that is unique to The Shed in Tuggerah specifically.
The food and service here get rave reviews every time and it’s no wonder they do as it definitely hits the spot.
2 Bryant Dr, Tuggerah
5. Wyong Milk Factory, Wyong
With so many different options to choose from Wyong Milk Factory is a crowd pleaser, not to mention set alongside the creek it makes for a great day out. From the Milk Factory Café to Little Creek Cheese to the Wyong Milk Factory Tavern aka the Rusty Udder (what a name!) which serves up pub classics and top-class Thai from Chilli Secret Thai.
And, we haven’t forgotten the numerous sweet treats at the Milk Factory – you have Luka Chocolates and Coast’s famous and favourite Daily Dough Co.
It’s a big fat yes from us for the Wyong Milk Factory.

6. Thaiger Temple, Terrigal
A top restaurant list would not be complete without a Thai restaurant. Well, not in ours or Audrey’s opinion at least!
We have to agree wholeheartedly on Thaigaer Temple in Terrigal taking out that prize. These peeps know how to do Thai; dubbed the Thai culinary kings of the Central Coast and have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years.
Located in the heart of bustling Terrigal on the Esplanade Thaiger Temple has indoor and outdoor seating and serves up delicious, fresh dishes and brilliant cocktails.  And, did we mention the decor? We’re instantly transported straight to Asia.
A worthy contender in this list that is for sure.
