Central Coast Walks: Little Beach to Macmasters
Duration: loop | 5.8km | 2 hrs
Level: Need to be fit.
Fancy a walk where the foot traffic is a little less on weekends? Then the Little Beach to Macmasters track is where it’s at.
The entrance is at the carpark on Grahame Drive, Macmasters. It’s a gravel track that’s pretty flat most of the way, opening up to Little Beach after about 30 minutes. Not a bad stretch for kids.
Little Beach is a pretty spot, but do be careful when swimming. It’s not patrolled and the water can get a bit rough.
OK, so the nice easy bit is done.

Now, step over the stream and up through the bush, following the small sign that points you in the direction of Macmasters.
It’s a little steep here but new steps have recently been added here instead of a gravel path so it’s easier than it used to be.
The rest of the walk to Macmaster is through vegetation with a small stretch through a few residential streets, so not many sea views. But it’s easily sign posted so you shouldn’t get lost.Â
And then you’ll get that stunning Macmasters to Copacabana Beach view on your arrival. And, if the weather is in your favour, a dip in the ocean pool followed by some lunch at Barefoot Cafe.
Now, you’ve recharged, it’s time to loop back on yourself.
Congratulation!
