Looking for one of the Central Coast walks that’s caused some serious feather ruffling? Then look no further than Terrigal Boardwalk, which before opening in early 2021 was slammed by many for its cost. However, since opening, most are in agreement that it’s an incredible walk, now joining Terrigal Beach to Terrigal Haven.Â
So, for this walk, grab your Terrigal-inspired tight lycra and let’s get moving…
We like to kick off at the far end of the Terrigal Esplanade, parking opposite Bellyfish, whcih is closer to the Wamberal end of Terrigal. Parking around here can be a little tricky so if it’s peak summer, you can always get a park a bit further out towards Parklife but this will add an extra 20 minute walk in each direction. Just something to note.

Central Coast Walks: Terrigal Boardwalk
Terrigal Beach to Terrigal Haven
Once on the esplanade, overlooking Terrigal Beach, it’s an easy route to follow. You just stick to the path until you make your way over to the Terrigal Boardwalk at the far end of the beach.
It should only take you 20 minutes. But don’t think your walk is over once you’ve arrived in Terrigal Haven. To really work those glutes, keep walking along the cliff’s edge and make your way to The Skillion (the highest peak).
Once you’ve climbed to the top, truly working your legs, you’ll have reached the best vantage point for some whale watching or dolphin spotting.Â
Now it’s time to descend and treat yourself to a well deserved brunch or lunch. The Cove Cafe in Terrigal Haven is an incredible Terrigal cafe with stellar breakfast menu, great coffee and best of all, sea views.
Once your tummy is full, it’s time to loop back in the same direction. It would be a sin not to peruse some of the Terrigal shops though and if you’ve got your Coasties Card don’t forget that so many Terrigal spots accept it.
Congratulation!
