Expect side-splitting sets from seasoned comics, up-and-comers, and a few surprise acts who’ll make you laugh harder than you meant to.

The Art House always puts on a top night, and this one’s no exception. It’s smart, silly and everything in between… perfect for a date night, group catch-up or anyone in need of a good giggle. Book early, this one usually sells out.

There’ll be walks, nature-y fun, cool facts, and probably a decent bug or two, led by the legends from National Parks and Central Coast Council. It’s $15 a kid, bookings are a must, and yep, grown-ups need to come along too. So bring a thermos, some snacks and let someone else take the lead for a day.

Things to do this Central Coast in August

August Coffee Circle | Monday, August 4 | The Berkley Centre, Glenning Valley
If you love a good chinwag over coffee and supporting a great cause, CBWN’s Coffee Circle is a solid way to kick off your week. Held monthly at The Berkley Centre in Glenning Valley, this one’s all about connection… with the added benefit of tea, coffee, treats, and some truly interesting guest speakers. All proceeds go to Because We Care Boutique, a local charity doing amazing work for women in need. There’s raffles, lucky door prizes, and enough caffeine and conversation to warm up even the chilliest Monday.

Beetle | Tuesday, August 12 | The Art House, Wyong
While technically targeted to kids, this one’s really for anyone who loves a charming story. Beetle is a sweet Aussie production full of movement and magic. It follows a young girl and her beetle buddy on a little adventure with a big heart, all told through physical theatre and animation.

It’s one of those shows that’s playful and fun on the surface, but gently weaves in bigger messages about connection to nature, friendship and finding wonder in the small stuff. It’s a great way to break up the week and introduce the kiddos to something a bit different – and let’s be honest, you’ll love it too.
