Where to Buy Christmas Trees on the Central Coast

Well hello, Christmas our old friend, it’s so nice to see you.  And if you haven’t already (is it just us, or do the decos seem to be going up incredibly early this year?), now is probably the time to start Christmas tree planning.  As always we’ve done the homework for you. Here is a full list of where you can find real Christmas trees on the Central Coast, as well as for those who don’t want to deal with the mess, forever faux ones that’ll last year after year.

Here are the seven best places to get Christmas trees on the Central Coast in 2023.

Real Christmas Trees Central Coast

1. Central Coast Christmas Trees, Kulnura

Each year around October the crowds flock to the Central Coast Christmas Tree farm to tag their favourite tree.  So if you’re after 7ft and 8ft trees then this is the best way to ensure you get one.  However, if you’re not that organised (or picky, or only have space for a smaller tree) you can always make a day trip out of it and visit the farm to choose.  With over 40,000 trees to pick from you’ll be sure to find the perfect Christmas tree for your family.

The Central Coast Christmas Tree Farm is open from 9am to 5pm every weekend day and you don’t need to book you can simply show up.  The team at the farm will guide you as you enjoy this unique experience.

As we mentioned above, if you’re very specific about your tree size and look, this is undoubtedly one of the most popular spots to get your real Christmas tree on the Central Coast so heading out to tag yours sooner rather than later is a must.

Please note: Tagged trees are not going to be delivered this year, so once you have tagged you need to return to the farm to pick your tree up.  Tree collection is open from this weekend (25 Nov 23) and trees last about 3-4 weeks.

2. Central Coast Flower Markets, Erina Heights

With a range of Christmas trees from 4ft through to 8ft available this year from the Central Coast Flower Markets in Erina, online pre-ordering (with a $50 deposit) is now open.  The trees themselves will not actually be available until late November or early December and so it is best to keep up to date over at the Central Coast Flower Markets Instagram.

As always these local Central Coast Christmas trees sell like hotcakes so get in quick.

3. Rotary Christmas Trees

Raising money for “Grandparents raising Grandchildren” and other Rotary projects makes buying a real Christmas Tree from the Central Coast Rotary Clubs a really special way to give back to the community. Based at handy locations all over the Central Coast means getting a real Christmas tree for your family this year is accessible for all.

But, a serious word of warning. They always sell out!  When they say from 7am what they actually mean is: that you need to get there well before 7am to get a spot in line.  There’ll be no sauntering in with your B + E roll and coffee in hand at 7am or you will miss out.

Happening both weekends in December on the 2nd, 3rd, and 9th and 10th.

4. Tumbi Christmas Tree Farm, Tumbi Umbi

This year the secret Tumbi Christmas Tree Farm is back.

Whilst their crop of trees is still recovering from the rains of La Niña of recent years and growing steadily for future years, owner Sue has confirmed that they will be receiving a load of freshly cut trees that will be available for sale.

Delighted to welcome local Central Coast families back to their little farm to enjoy a bit of Christmas cheer in Sue’s words;

“Follow the signs as you turn off Tumbi Road, the parking is easy, bring the kids and the whole family, enjoy a play at the park, a fun Christmas buggy ride, get your tree and all the accessories you need all in one location!”

5. The Flower Hut, Green Point

Offering both cut and potted trees as well as delivery straight to your Central Coast door. The Flower Hut on Avoca Dr has been selling Christmas trees on the Central Coast for over 35 years so they know what they’re doing.  During the early weeks in December, and right up until Christmas Eve (or until stocks last) they’ll be bringing in trees for Coasties to purchase.

Fabulous and Fake Christmas Trees Central Coast

6. Simply Mad About Christmas, Tuggerah

Family owned and operated right here on the Central Coast since 2009 Simply Mad About Christmas is an all-singing mega-sparkly Christmas shop that sells fake Christmas trees of all sizes and colours. You could go for a traditional, or mix it up with a bright purple or blue. It’s your Christmas so you can roll exactly the way you wish.

7. Christmas Warehouse, Erina

Yes, it’s a warehouse filled with everything you might need during the festive period, including fake Christmas trees. But beware, the likelihood of just leaving Christmas Warehouse with a Christmas tree is rare. You’ll be squeezing a life-size Santa, a tonne of tinsel and singing reindeer into the boot of your car before you can say ‘Santa Baby’.
