Have you checked out these uber cool Central Coast laneways yet?
We get it – the local cafe or park down the road is an easy go to, the barista knows your order and you’re likely to run into your pals. But why not channel those inner Melbourne vibes, grab your pals and head out exploring some new hoods and laneways of the Central Coast. Not only will you experience a sweet little laneway but there are some yummy nearby eats to check out too.
Mann Street, Gosford Â
First cab off the rank and laying between Voodoo Tattoo and Raine & Horne Gosford is the Mann Street Laneway. Here you’ll find what used to be an intimidating alley transformed into a public work of art, and feeling a helluva lot safer. As part of the Safer Cities initiative, local artist Brent Smith worked with the team at JC Entertainment and Events to bring the laneway to life with this inviting, bright installation.
Sustenance options nearby include quite possibly the best bánh mì on the Coast at An Lac Bakehouse and our coffee pick would be from The Good Bits Company.
Bakers Lane, Wyong
There’s no doubting the time to shine for the laneways of Wyong is during the annual Love Lanes Festival held in the town centre every February, when they come alive with arts, music, entertainment and energy. But, you haven’t missed the boat if you didn’t make it to the festival this year, outside of when it takes place, we reckon they still deserve a visit. Wyong’s CBD is home to some of the Coast’s most awesome public artworks on permanent display.
Not to mention, the plethora of great eats and drinks to choose from. Our picks: Duck Duck Moose for brews, a cheeky bevvy at Jerry Sent Me and the not to be missed Chick’n Korean Fried! The latter two both housed at the Chapman Building precinct.

Laneways of the Central Coast
Ocean View Rd, Ettalong Beach
We’ll be honest, we’re not sure this is officially a laneway by way of town planning, but it’s a super cute spot to bring the fam for brekky or brunch. Nestled alongside The Galleria and Lords of Pour Cafe in Ettalong is a beautiful spot, lined with flowering frangipanis and bougainvillea vines as well as lush shady palm trees, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve escaped to somewhere in Europe.
The kids will love riding their bikes or scooters down the laneway while you enjoy an excellent cuppa and brekky at one of the outdoor tables of Lords of Pour. Don’t forget to pop your heads into The Galleria afterwards for a spot of shopping, because #supportlocal and of course, grab a sweet treat from MamiGato.
** IMPORTANT REMINDER **
Please ALWAYS be safe and courteous when exploring. Supervise your small humans at all times for safety. And be mindful of the volume in order to respect the neighbours of these little lanes.
