It’s that time of year again – when all the kids’ pent up energy from school is ready to be unleashed upon the household. It can be lots of fun to have all the family around, but also – we get it – sometimes we can run out of ideas when it comes to keeping everyone entertained. Thankfully, we’ve got a list of relatively inexpensive experiences you can enjoy right alongside the kids these holidays to create some great lasting memories. Get ready to be active and creative this summer with what we’ve got planned for you!
Aqua Park, Gosford
Whether you’re there for the single, double, party or all-day session, the Aqua park in Gosford Waterfront’s Brisbane Water is a hit for all ages, especially on a hot summer’s day. With it’s huge floating obstacle course watched over by trained lifeguards, you can have all the competitive and hilarious fun you want whilst keeping safe and soaking up the sun. Please keep in mind that you are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your booking for a quick briefing beforehand.
The Australian Reptile Park, SomersbyÂ
The Australian Reptile Park never fails to fascinate onlookers with its active range of furry, feathered, scaled and scary Australian denizens. Even cooler, this holiday season from the 16th to the 24th of December, you can be a part of the park’s Santa Safari and watch Santa feed alligators, or take a photo with the jolly man himself. And you can get it all for 15% off with the Coasties Card. Sounds pretty good to us.

Holiday Activities for the Family this Summer
Kid-Friendly BeachesÂ
Norah Head Rockpool over near Cabbage Tree Harbour is our pick for one of the best Coastal swimming spots to visit with the kids. Despite not being patrolled, it’s sheltered location by the rocks combined with its colourful array of sealife on display during the low tides makes for a calm, enjoyable outing with the kids for sure.

 Family-Friendly Bushwalks
For a beautiful and relatively easy bushwalk accessible to most ages and fitness levels, the Bouddi Coastal Walk is always a winner for families needing to walk some of that holiday energy off. On and off board walks, enjoy the sparkling, turquoise coastline as you trek 8.5km from Putty Beach to MacMasters, maybe having a dip in at Maitland Bay or a quick pit-stop along the many picnic areas throughout. Should roughly take around 4 hours.
