Is there anything more courageous than opening a restaurant on the Central Coast smack bang in the middle of a lengthy lockdown? We think not.
Hats off to new Ettalong restaurant, Nash Restaurant & Bar which will open on Friday June 30. The eatery has been teasing its grand opening since back in April.
But with an extended lockdown announced, the team decided the show must go on and are opting for a takeaway menu with pickup and home delivery instead.
And what a menu it is. There’s confit duck croquettes, eight-hour slow roasted lamb shoulder and wild mushroom gnocchi, to name just a few.

A big drawcard here is the vegan options with crispy jackfruit bites, beetroot salad and crunchy brussels sprouts served as a side.
And refreshingly, the kids menu offers some delicious alternatives to fish and chips, with southern fried chicken, gnocchi and lamb with hot chips.
New Ettalong Beach Restaurant
Located just opposite The Ettalong and just moments from Ettalong Beach, this is undoubtedly going to be a winning dine-in spot once we’re out of lockdown.
But for now, let’s hope fortune favours the brave and keeps this new Ettalong restaurant ticking over until spring.
