If you’ve got a sweet tooth (or kids who always ask for dessert), SwirlzNThingz is about to become your new favourite, serving up Central Coast’s first drill ice creams. You know the ones that you’ve seen all over your socials – except these guys do it with creamy frozen custard, not ice cream, infused with mix-ins like biscoff crumbs, kit kats, strawberries and pistachio, and loaded with toppings. You can choose straight from the menu or go rogue and build your own – either way, it’s hard to go wrong. They’ve also got dutch pancakes, dessert cups and proper thickshakes. And they’re open until 9pm, making it the perfect stop for an after-dinner treat or a late-night sweet fix along the strip.

Perfectly placed for a post-swim treat, and conveniently on the way to / from the dog beach, they’re serving up classic and creative flavours that hit the spot on a hot Coastie day.

Terrigal Pavilion, Terrigal
One of our top picks for ocean-side cocktails this summer, Terrigal Pavilion has been buzzing since opening its doors in November 2025. An easy answer when you’re wondering where to eat on the Central Coast this weekend. The views from here are breathtaking – we honestly don’t have a better word for it. Sitting on the upstairs deck overlooking Terrigal Haven, all the way out to Crackneck Point, has us reverting back to the days of #blessed. And that’s just one of the 3 spaces within The Pav. On the ground floor is their signature restaurant, The Tropic, home to fancy dinners, or grab takeaway from The General Store. Do your best to nab a table outside on a warm afternoon – and feel free to bring the kids, they’re super family-friendly here.

The Banger Rebellion, Ettalong
Coasties, you’re in for a treat. After winning hearts (and stomachs) slinging gourmet banger rolls from their beloved food trailer Stella, The Banger Rebellion now has a bigger, bolder home base in Ettalong. Their cult-fave rolls aren’t going anywhere – the classics are back, plus some you haven’t met yet – and they’ve added a cracking breakfast lineup. Standouts include the Morning Glory, an indulgent breakfast banger roll, and The Anti Hero, their unapologetically upgraded take on a bacon and egg roll with homemade sauces and a soft brioche bun that’ll ruin all other rolls for you.

Craving something sweet? You’ll find homemade cakes, cookies and wickedly decadent brownies alongside old-school milkshakes and Little Marionette coffee. It’s food that makes you start planning your next visit after your first bite. And soon, you’ll be able to settle in with a bevvy too – bangers and booze, now that’s a match made in Coastie heaven.
But The Banger Rebellion has always been about more than just the food – it’s about community, creativity, and shaking up the way things are done. Their new space was chosen to bring people together, and they’re open to hosting anything from art shows to book clubs, meetups to live music… we can’t wait to see how the Central Coast embraces this space!

Big flavour, big energy, and a place that feels like it’s here to shake things up – the rebellion is well and truly on.
46 The Esplanade, Ettalong Beach
Willow and Bean, Bateau Bay

New to the Bateau Bay scene, Willow and Bean already feels right at home. Owned by local couple Jade and Tom, the cafe was designed with comfort in mind and plenty of thoughtful touches – like a kids’ play space so parents can enjoy their coffee while it’s still hot, a simple family-friendly menu, and a big indoor setting that works rain, hail or shine.
Open seven days, the space also showcases products from local makers, so there’s often something new to discover while you sip. Early risers will love their weekday breakfast deal too: bacon and eggs with a regular coffee for $12 from 6:30 to 8:30am.
Pop in for brunch with your friends, enjoy a solo coffee in peace, or browse fresh flowers and baby clothes – it all works here. With good coffee, friendly service and plenty of care poured into every detail, Willow and Bean may be fresh on the block, but it has all the makings of a place you’ll want to come back to time and again.
Unit 1/676 Coleridge Rd, Bateau Bay
Okyn Café, Noraville

Taking over the old Village Café spot in Noraville, Okyn (pronounced ‘oh-kin‘)is the newest venture from the crew behind Café 2261, created in partnership with local specialty coffee enthusiast Dan Farmer, and they’ve brought the same focus on quality with them. (They’ve also taken over Ground to Grow in Fountaindale – talk about busy!)
For Okyn, specialty coffee is their thing, and they’re serving up a choice of blends and single origins from Veneziano Coffee Roasters so you can tailor your cup just how you like it. Add in a menu built to celebrate the simple things done well, and you’ve got a café that feels at ease from the moment you walk through the doors – just pick a cosy indoor table or a leafy garden nook and settle in.
Crowd favourites are already emerging, like the toasted banana bread with house-made espresso butter (a cheeky double hit of caffeine with your coffee order). And with a new spring/summer menu on the way, expect lighter, brighter flavours: ricotta with strawberries and lemon curd, roast pumpkin with hot honey and feta, even crispy fried chicken with house gochujang. Safe to say, Noraville’s coffee and brunch game just levelled up.
446 Main Rd, Noraville

We’re here for the char-grilled seafood and flavour-packed small plates, plus a hand-picked wine list and creative drinks that taste as good as they look. And did someone say live DJs on a Sunday? Well, that sadness turned into serious excitement. Perched at Terrigal’s iconic Haven, this new Spanish-inspired spot brings tapas, cocktails and unbeatable ocean views together in one stunning package.

No fuss, just good Vietnamese food that hits the spot.

Our tip: nab a table on the patio if the sun’s out! And of course, there’s a bar with more than 20 beers on tap – from classics to crafty brews – plus a full TAB for punters.

Then there’s the greens, where the real fun kicks off – because who doesn’t love a game of barefoot bowls? Or you can join their comp if you’re up for something more serious. All in live music and weekly raffles, and you’ve got yourself a proper local hangout. So grab your crew, order a round, and see what all the fuss is about.

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying the buzz that follows Anthony “Spanian” Lee’s popular food truck franchise – and Spanian’s Kebabs is already making waves at the Chapman Building in Wyong, with lines winding around the block on opening night.
So, do the kebabs live up to the hype? Absolutely. Think smoky grilled meats, fluffy pita, crisp salad, and house-made sauces bursting with flavour. It’s a simple combo, but when it’s done this well, it seriously hits the spot.
Go hungry – and maybe pack a little patience. It’s worth it.
