New Year’s Eve 2023 on the Central Coast
1. Fireworks, Leagues Club Park, Gosford
Taking out the top spot for celebrating New Year’s Eve on the Central Coast on Sunday 31st December has to be the Fireworks at Gosford Waterfront. There is no doubt that Gosford will be a hub of entertainment and activity on the day.
Join the fun at this family-friendly event that kicks off celebrations from 5pm. There will be face painting, roaming entertainment and hula hooping by Hoop Sparx to keep the kidlets entertained. You can kick back to tunes with live onstage music and of course, fill those bellies with the yummy food and beverage vendors on site.
Don’t miss out on celebrating the last day of 2023, and also see the much-anticipated NYE fireworks at Gosford. Taking place at approximately 9pm after the full-time whistle blows at the Mariners game revellers will be treated to an epic display of colours and light on the Brisbane Water.
A reminder that the event is alcohol-free and we strongly suggest taking public transport or ride shares as parking will be a mission and limited due to multiple events taking place. Both Bakers Lane and Vaughan Ave will both be closed from 6am on December 31.

2. Gossy Good Times at Hotel Gosford, Gosford
Always a Coasties favourite Hotel Gosford deserves to be our prime party pick for New Year’s Eve. After launching their extremely popular and successful party brand and nightclub Gossy Good Times this year we know that their two-night New Year’s Eve party is going to be going off. In fact word on the street is that this will be the biggest NYE party on the Central Coast.
If, like us, you’re ready to say “cheers mate, bye” to 2023, and partying like there’s no tomorrow is one of your New Year’s resolutions then this is the party for you.
Here’s what you need to know. Entry is free all night, the party starts at 9pm and goes ’til late. DJ Timmy LaLa and Tony O will be on the decks. Get ready to dance the night (and 2023) away peeps.

3. Drifters Wharf, Gosford
It’s a three-peat for Gosford! Our friends at Drifters Wharf will be bringing Miss Connie and DJ/producer Angus McDonald of Sneaky Sound System to the Central Coast. Look forward to an evening of being transported back to the mid-2000s, yet also enjoying Sneaky Sound System’s more recent tracks that are equally as loved.
Don’t forget to perch yourself in prime position to watch the waterfront 9pm fireworks over Brisbane Water. Or arrive early for a seafood feast.

4. Coco Bar and Dining, Terrigal
Newcomer to the Terrigal foodie scene, Coco Bar and Dining has been making waves, collecting rave reviews and will be putting on a Coco-style New Year’s Eve party of note. Topping our list a dining experience they have two options on offer. Both include their mouth-watering yakitori, dumplings and shared mains as well as (naturally) a glass of bubbles.
But a word of warning spots will sell fast so best to book ASAP to secure yours.

5. Central Coast Council New Year’s Eve Celebration, The Entrance
The Central Coast Council is putting on yet another incredible event for our community and visitors alike to enjoy at Memorial Park, The Entrance. Get ready to party like it’s 2024! Live music by Riley Lovell, Toby Wells Band, The Appointments and the not-to-be-missed show’s headliners; none other than epic local talent; Sunsoli.
Take in the last sunset for 2023 and join in on all the fun happening from 5:30pm-9:00pm on Sunday 31 December 2023. Not only will crowds be treated to incredible tunes, but there will also be food trucks with a lit-up dining area and amusements as well as fireworks around 9pm.

6. Central Coast Mariners vs Melbourne Victory Royal Hotel, Industree Group Stadium Gosford
For the die-hard soccer fans of the Central Coast, there could not be a better way to ring in a new year than watching the Mariners take on Melbourne Victory. Yet another incredible event that’s cementing Gosford as the place to be on the Central Coast this New Year’s Eve. With the diversity on offer for us Coasties we are truly spoilt for choice.
There’s no doubt that home games are always crowd pleasers, but when they are held at Industree Group Stadium, it’s just an added reminder of how lucky we are to call the Coast home.

7. Barretts Restaurant, Magenta
You had us at “Divine Wines and Degustation”! Rounding out the best places to spend celebrating NYE on the Central Coast is Barretts Restaurant at the Pullman Magenta Shores Resort.
They’ve experience you’ll never forget. Not only will you be treated to five courses paired with wines your meal will also be accompanied by a live band and a fireworks display. Because is it even NYE without fireworks?
For those with rugrats, don’t despair Barretts and the Pullman have thought of everything, there will be a supervised Kids Club available to book for children aged up to 16yrs on the evening. It’s a yes from us!
