Summertime on the Central Coast means balmy evenings and beach days, yes, but also (and more importantly) the clear skies, scorching sand and sunshine come along with our favourite hit of theatre!  That’s right, it’s Summer@ The Art House time, the Wyong theatre’s annual summer program.

To say that we’re a bit excited for the epic month and line up of live performances, free activities, and even a few surprises that Summer@ The Art House brings would be an understatement of note. For the month of January in 2026, the best, most celebrated, and emerging Australian artists and theatre shows are coming to your backyard.

Enjoy Summer@ The Art House, Wyong these school holidays

The best part, you asked and The Art House listened! This summer’s 2026 program has even more children’s shows than ever before. Kids’ curiosity will be piqued with science-based educational theatre and wowed by magic and acrobatic shows. They’ll giggle until their bellies hurt with the funnies that the comedy shows bring, and their imaginations will take flight with the puppet shows. There actually is something to suit every kind of kid. Plus, most of the children’s shows have a workshop, making them great value for families on a budget. Now, if that isn’t a school holiday win, then we don’t know what is.

One of the most loved parts of Summer@ The Art House is back – and just as special as you remember. The On Stage Music Series flips the usual theatre experience on its head, with audiences seated at tables on the stage, right alongside the performers! (Don’t worry, no audience participation!) From Friday 16 – Sunday 18 Jan you can choose from three shows, each with its own flavour – musical theatre belters, Peter Allen classics, or your favourite Disney songs! Add cheese, antipasto or something sweet to your booking to indulge.
