If you’re into the event that is Galentine’s Day – aka grabbing your best girlfriends and celebrating your friendship – you’re in for a treat. We’ve compiled a list of the most fabulous, most fantastic, most … well, you get what we’re saying – Galentine’s Day activities on the Central Coast.

Gelato fix at Bar Botanica

If you’re after a sweet treat, Bar Botanica hidden away in picture-perfect acreage in Erina is a stunning spot for indulging in the best gelato in all of NSW. Seriously, they’ve been awarded the title. And with flavours so out of this world, like Honeycomb and Lavender or a simple (but amazing) Butter Caramel, you’ll want to grab your girls and head over. Level it up, go for lunch and some gin-infused cocktails.

Load up and get arty

Not all sip and paint classes are created equally, so we’re handpicking our favourites: Paint & Create with Bubbly, Rose & Renoir and Paint n Palette. Each will empower you to find your inner artist (with the help of a beverage or two). And all three offer discounted private group classes for those with a Coasties Card, so go on and flash it. The card, people. The card.

Den Experiences at Lyon’s Den

With a range of options to choose from, Den Experiences are the perfect way to celebrate with your gal pals. Utilising their gorgeous space at Lyons Den and collaborating with other local businesses they are a total hit! Do note that Galentine Day at the Den will have to be scheduled a little later this ’24/25 Summer, due to the business’ spectacular revamp and relocation, but the wait will 100% be worth it, as it’s new rooftop bar, outdoor cinema and Den arcade will make the experiences even more memorable. These events include a number of options: Cocktail masterclasses with their mixologist Axel to paint and sip with Pinot & Picasso to Life drawing with Barenaked Studios. Or design floral creations with Pretty Salty and even create your very own champagne-infused sugar scrub or bath soak with Loveshak.

This one gets a massive thumbs up from us.

Get pampered at a Day Spa

Why not pamper you and the girls and book a spa day? The team at Five Star Day Spa are ready for all your spa and treatment needs (but you’ll have to go on the Saturday as they’re closed on Sundays). We’d personally go for the Divine Day Spa experience lasting 5 hours. It’s sure to make even the most weary of exhausted souls (looking at you, mammas) feel refreshed and like brand new. Cocktails are the way to a girl’s heart, and will be the pinnacle of your Galentine’s Day. Our top three are: Lyons Den in Gosford, the new 7-days-a-week joint, make some of the best cocktails on the Coast, as well as an African tapas menu. We’re also a massive fan of Shady Palms in Avoca. But book ahead, this spot is popular thanks to incredible woodfire pizza and outrageously delicious cocktails. And of course, our friends over at The Joker & Thief in Terrigal.
