The meditative soulfulness and innovative attitudes of our Coastie artists and creatives have recently made the Central Coast a hive of creativity. And it’s no wonder when a region is blessed with naturally jaw-dropping landscapes like ours that continually inspire and rouse our budding artists. The best news is that this creativity is free for everyone to enjoy. The number of street art installations and public graffiti works visible across every corner of the Coast – from hidden alleys to transport buses – left for us by our creative Coasties to enjoy is so fabulous! Here are our top photo-worthy favs.

Long Jetty Mural

The Long Jetty Mural to the side of Green Tangerine Cafe is undoubtedly one of the Coast’s most photographed and Instagramable locations. Even more so now since its recent facelift by the legendary local artist Brent Smith (or Biffy Brentano). The talented Biffy’s work can also be spotted on the cover of our Summer 2025 issue of Coasties Mag, he designed the artwork for our Coasties Cover Colouring in competition.
But that’s not all. Also in Long Jetty, across the road from the famous mural, you’ll find his work on the wall of local cafe and yoga studio Komuniti (and on their merch). You’ll spy his work at Erina Fair, or across the Coast on flag poles around Terrigal, Avoca and Kincumber. He’s also designed beer cans for Block n Tackle, and done a number of local business’ branding. Oh and if that wasn’t enough, he also has his work featured on buses and laneways (keep reading to discover more Biffy talent!). And, be sure to check out his work here.
Norah HeadÂ
The Central Coast Graffiti trail wouldn’t be complete without witnessing one of the colourful masterworks of the brilliant local artist Ange of This Is My Happy Place. You can witness her uber talent at a host of local cafes and spots across the Coast like Bateau Bay and Kincumber Hotels, Black Finn Espresso in Toukley and so many more. Plus a cheeky feature on a past cover of Coasties Mag. See here. But we say visit Norah Head’s beach for one of her biggest and brightest (at the Norah Head Surf Club, as pictured above). But, also keep reading to witness more of her amazing work below oh and don’t forget to give her a follow on socials.
 Wyong’s Love Lanes

Unofficially known as the “Love Lanes Wall”, a sprawling art piece has been providing Wyong Town Centre with a unique splash of colour for years. Each year, usually coinciding with the annual Love Lanes Festival in February the wall gets a facelift and a new, popping look by well-known local artists (this year’s by @this_is_myhappyplace). Previous years have seen it feature work by Grant Molony, Jason Goulding and Tim Travers.

Mann St Laneway

This alleyway-turned-art-installation is another brilliant creation designed by the one and only Brent Smith, in collaboration with  JC entertainment and events, made as part of the Safer Cities Her Way initiative. A hidden gem.
Gossy Good Times

The abandoned Brisbane Water County Council’s cheerful, graffitied reminder to enjoy the life Gosford has to offer has become a cherished part of the Coast community despite the building’s unknown fate. It’s best seen from Baker Street.
Grant Molony

Being a proud Guringai man, Grant Molony’s strong connection to the land and the stories of its local wildlife is what inspires him to create his incredible, larger-than-life artworks and murals. You can find these treasures scattered across the Coast – including the birds on the side of The Entrance Boat Shed, the whales at Bateau Bay Dental Practice, the artwork inside Bottletree Kitchen in Bensville and Bay Rd Brewing in Gossy (see below) – though one of our favs will always be the whales at Erina Fair.

Sonora Studios

Not just an advocate for the arts on the musical side, Sonora’s sound studio in Tuggerah has some great wall art absolutely worth a peek (also by Grant Molony).
Bangin Bus Tours

The quirkiest street art in town…is on wheels! Based at Forresters Beach, this family-run business has been organising celebratory events and transport in their uniquely styled, party-equipped buses since 2010. Each vehicle has its own name and vibe, and are artworks onto themselves by the one and only Biffy Brentano.
Bay Road Brewery

Much more than just a microbrewery and taproom in the heart of Gosford, Bay Road Brewery’s sunny, painting-filled interiors by legendary Grant Molony make it a gallery in its own right. Though we do recommend snagging a brewed-in-house beer whilst you’re there or visiting one of their comedy nights.
