John Lennon had it right when he said, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”
What he didn’t mention was that, amongst the occasional epiphany, life is an endless parade of meetings, drop offs, exams, cut lunches and other nonsense which maps our days. Enter The Landing Space. A holistic oasis which offers its depleted clients a place to exhale.
Elisa Hudson, a long-time resident of the Central Coast and the owner of The Landing Space, “birthed” the concept after discovering the site whilst dropping her sons off for a surf. After an extensive search, she spied the For Lease sign and instantly felt an alignment. Led by her intuition, she discovered an emotional and physical connection with Forresters Beach.
“I am a natural born medium and empath and I just felt it,” she said.
“Like that film Field of Dreams. ‘If you build it, they will come.’ I felt that, through The Landing Space, I could make an offering to the community.”
Elisa’s offering is a well-being journey.
“My strength is that I am able to bring people together,” she said.
“I see The Landing Space as becoming the heart of the community which draws like-minded people. A place where people can feel seen, be supported, be heard and, most importantly, be accepted.”
Offering a vast range of Healing Modalities, clients are invited to thread their own journey to wellness. “It can be different for everyone” explains Elisa. “Someone might start with yoga and then realise they need to develop their breathing. Others might come in for a massage and make a connection with our meditation modalities.”
The journey begins as soon as you cross the threshold of The Landing Space. Passing under the intricate mandala, you are immediately lulled by the calming aromas of the therapies. Bowls of crystals, flowing greenery and a gorgeous fit out by Elisa’s husband, welcomes clients and sets the intention for the space.
For Elisa, The Landing Space is about harnessing the power of intention and developing a relationship with self.
“The key to what we offer here is a place for people to feel supported as they navigate their journey to mental, spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing. There is no judgement, and we encapsulate everyone.”
Inclusivity is something Elisa is passionate about. Typically, wellness is a world that is directed at supporting women. The Landing Space has identified this gap and how it leaves some people open to vulnerabilities.
“I’m a believer in the balance of supporting everybody” she said. As a mother of teenage sons she sees the power of realigning and balancing perception in our younger generations.
“We have two youth mentors focusing on teenagers and pre-teens which is such an important age to establish a good relationship with self.”
Men are another under-represented group who can find refuge in The Landing Space with regular mens’ groups now on offer.
The Landing Space has been shaping the wellness of its clients for two years. Anchored by the beauty of its environment and working in gentle harmony with the wisdom and cultural practices of the Darkinjung people, Elisa yearns to envelop a respectful connection to Country within her space. Born out of an incredible experience of synchronicity with nature, this connection is reflected by the intricate mural of The Rainbow Serpent, created by local artist Russell Molony, which holds sentry over her studio.
Elisa has organically assembled a collective of practitioners. Like-minded, the team formed through a ripple effect.
Elisa explains, “Each practitioner is similar in that they are heart based and there is an investment in the needs of the client. We can build trust and hold our clients while they make their transition from one space to another.”
The Landing Space is a multidisciplinary holistic centre, offering many modalities that support mental, physical, emotional & spiritual wellbeing.
“This is my life. It’s all I know,” said Elisa. “It’s time to spread the energy.”
An elixir of healing and empowerment, take the opportunity to remap your path and set down here in your well-being journey.
It’s your space to land.
