There’s a New Awesome Event Celebrating our Coast Creatives This April

Reading Time: 3 minutes
The incredible 12 creators and makers being celebrated during the month of April

It’s true. The Coast is well known for its spectacular beaches, award-winning restaurants and, let’s not forget, some pretty superior coffee. But what truly stands our region apart is this: our ever-growing creative community.

Seriously, spotted throughout the Central Coast, we’ve not only wine, gin, beer, cheese and chocolate makers (not all superheroes wear capes, people). But those who create some of the country’s finest ceramics, art, poetry and sustainable fashion. And let’s not forget, the Coast is well known for its photographers, especially of the drone variety.

And to celebrate our homegrown creators and makers, twelve have been handpicked to showcase their creations as part of the inaugural Blank Canvas Central Coast, which will run over two locations throughout the whole of April.

The outstanding Trade The Mark will be one of the creatives celebrated.

First up, the talent will be: fashion designer Carlie Ballard, poet and artist MM Poems, photographer Reed Plummer of Central Coast Drones, Bella Rose Art, fresh-produce creator Prispar, artist Jessica May Creative, surf-wear and sunnies designer Bird & Hill, leather-goods creator Crown Anchor Leather, photographer Coastal Incidental, ceramicist Trade The Mark, fashion designer House of Lacuna and artist Kristy Gordon.

Yep, a stellar line up. And not only can you peruse their unique creations but you can also #supportlocal and purchase on the spot.

Reed Plummer, better known on Instagram as @centralcoastdrones, will be showcasing his work at Blank Canvas Central Coast.

And the Blank Canvas event will run in Ettalong and Long Jetty. In Ettalong, you’ll be able to grab yourself a Lords of Pour (the best!) coffee to go and behind the café, next to Tiki La La, you’ll stumble upon the first pop-up space.

The second is at Shop 11, 314-316 The Entrance Rd, Long Jetty, which you enter via Pacific Street. It’s essentially next to the new Upstairs Wines shop. Our top tip, head over after a breakfast at any of our top three Long Jetty brunch spots: Green Tangerine, The Glass Onion Society or Modern Organic. Each awesome in their own individual way.

So, here’s the all-important line up and dates, with each event running between 9am-5pm daily.

And for more information on the event and the individual creators, you can visit Blank Canvas Central Coast’s website.
