Events on the Central Coast are back in full swing baby! Coming off the back of a bumper Summer of incredible events held here on the Central Coast it’s looking like the next few months ahead are equally as jam-packed with things to do.
Naturally, we here at Coasties Mag have our finger’s on the pulse when it comes to the hottest happenings in our region.  Making it our mission to deliver to you the very best of Autumn 2023’s events and things to do on the Central Coast.
There is literally something for everyone to enjoy over the next few months.  From easter fun to things to do with the kids to live music events to festivals and so much more.

Join this free family-friendly event to showcase the history, heritage and local character of the putt putt watercraft and the history of boat building in the region. Expect water-focused activities and plenty of on-shore entertainment. 

With over 60 speciality market stalls showcasing loads of local makers, creators and businesses as well as a kids’ amusement area and food on offer, this community event promises to be a brilliant day out.

The Easter Bunny Visits Erina Fair | Erina Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 6, 7 and 8

Easter is going to be eggcellent at Erina this year.  They will have a roaming Easter Bunny hopping through the centre from 10am – 2pm on the 6th, 8th and 9th of April, handing out Cadbury Easter eggs to kids and families lucky enough to spot him. If you can’t find him, be sure to ask one of the friendly Erina Fair team who will help you track him down.  

Psst he’s also going to be going to the movies – that’s right you can join the Easter Bunny for a special screening of an easter themed movie at Hoyts Erina.

Giant Easter Egg Hunt | Glenworth Valley | Sunday, April 9

When Glenworth Valley say “giant” they mean “GIANT”! Think 25,000 Easter eggs giant.

This high-octane show returns to Australia to celebrate 15 years of touring and promises a cultural experience like no other. Cirque Mother Africa has seen sold-out shows around the country including one on Thursday 30 March at our very own Art House in Wyong.

The show is family-friendly (for kids about 3 ish and older), vibrant, colourful and highly entertaining – it’s African to the core.  And, we reckon you’ll leave with a smile on your dial and a tap of the feet. 

 

Grove Studios Open Day | Somersby | Saturday, April 22

Located in our very own backyard paradise at Somersby, is Grove Studios, an iconic music studio with a tonne of history you probably didn’t know.  The studio was built in the eighties by INXS’ bassist Garry Gary Beers and over the years has become one of Australia’s leading creative hubs.

From being the perfect haven for retreats and live music events to being the creative mecca behind many notable albums by some of Australia’s leading acts.  Think Silverchair, Courtney Barnett, Ocean Alley, The Presets, DMA’s, Eskimo Joe, Birds of Tokyo and more.

Add to the list of things you (maybe) didn’t know about the Grove is that you can study a Diploma of Music (Sound Production).  Which is why they are holding an open day on Saturday, April 22.  The day is perfect for anyone interested in the courses, but also open to the public.  There’ll be tour of our iconic music studios and heaps of opportunities to ask questions.

Coast Race Day | The Entertainment Grounds, Gosford | Saturday, May 6

There are so many options over this weekend in May Coasties, including the richest race day on the Coast’s racing calendar and a sell-out every year. Held over at Gosford at the Entertainment Grounds you’ll want to get in quick as not to miss out.

Nights with Tiki La La featuring Billie Eternal | Long Jetty | Saturday, May 6
What makes for a super fun way to spend a Saturday evening? An intimate gig inside the beautifully curated space that is the vintage haven of Tiki La La in Long Jetty.
The local community support for these nights is phenomenal which means you can expect nothing but those warm, welcoming, friendly LJ vibes and it’s likely you’ll leave with a whole lotta new mates.  Put on by the legends at Subculture whose mission is to bring the Coast all the latest up and coming talent.

Central Coast Kids Day Out | Narara Valley High School | Sunday, May 7

The CCKDO is back after a couple of years off thanks to the pandemic. Back and better than ever! The kidlets will go wild for this one folks. The annual event’s focus is all on the long-term wellbeing of children on the Central Coast.
There’ll be live and interactive shows featuring Bluey, Paw Patrol and Woosical the Musical. Plus heaps more interactive displays, free play opportunities, rides, stalls and of course food on offer.

Mothers Day High Tea with We Care Connect | Magenta Shores | Friday, May 12

The annual fundraiser and most wonderful day out; the We Care Connect Mothers Day high tea is back.  Each year We Care Connect helps children and families who’re struggling on the Coast.  Their annual high tea raises much needed funds to continue their support which will impact over 4000 children on the Central Coast alone.

This high tea has all the bells and whistles from a glass of bubbles on arrival to the obligatory finger sandwiches, tea and coffee, pastries and cakes and more. This year promises to be their biggest Mother’s Day High Tea event yet.

But, we just could not leave this out of an events lineup for the Coast this autumn.  The team at Drifters Wharf are outdoing themselves with the calibre of artists and events that they are bringing to the Central Coast.  It’s got us pretty damn excited here are Coasties.

Day on the Farm at East Coast Beverages | Kulnura | Sunday, June 11

This Central Coast Autumn event is all about community.  The team at East Coast over in Kulnura promise the perfect family fun day out.

Your kids will love getting up close and personal with the team and learning all about the farm.  From how they grow, squeeze and bottle all their own fruit on site!  Not to mention a host of fun activities from fruit picking to factory tours to cooking demonstrations, live music and more.

We simply cannot enjoy our June long weekend without the annual trip to Glenworth Valley Food and Wine Festival, it’s an absolute fave of ours here at Coasties Mag.

A day filled with music, dancing, family fun, endless food options, kids’ zones and entertainment, drinks a plenty, log fires and winter sunshine always fills us with immense joy.
