Check out the new food openings on the Central Coast for 2023
These are the new restaurants on the Central Coast that opened over the last few months of 2023.
Every few weeks we share the newest restaurant and foodie openings on the Central Coast. Here is the summer collection of brand spanking new foodie joints we’re digging.
Be sure to show them your support, pop in for a feed, review them with a thumbs up and give them a follow on the socials.
1. Jaspers – Long Jetty
Say hello to Talia and Lawrence, the dynamic duo behind the summer sensation Jasper’s. A Modern Australian Tapas restaurant serving creations that celebrate the best of Aussie produce.
Whether you fancy a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a night out with friends, Jasper’s is your go-to spot. Picture this: a menu bursting with tapas delights, from fresh salads and seafood to hearty meats and veggie options. Still have room? Sweet and savoury desserts are the perfect ending to your experience.
Oh, and here’s the cherry on top—BYO is not just allowed; it’s encouraged. Bring your favourite bottle and let the good times flow. It’s not just about the food; it’s the Jasper’s experience, exceptional service in a cozy atmosphere that feels like home.
The Coast needed some Modern Australian Tapas, and Talia and Lawrence have delivered. These two have put their heart and soul into this venue and it becomes clear the moment you visit. An absolute passion project for them, they are really proud of how flexible and adaptable they can be for their guests. With one of them in the kitchen, the other on the floor, their level of care and detail is surely felt by each and every person who visits.

2. Once Again – Terrigal
Opening in late October, another fine Asian eatery to add to Terrigal’s food scene. The menu is rich with choices, many being a modern take on the classics, and boy do they look the part.
The interior has been well thought-out, with an open plan bar and spacious dining area, making this a top choice to accommodate families or larger groups. It has been abuzz with Christmas parties over these past weeks and looks to continue to raise the vibes.
Pair your Asian favourites with a delicious cocktail, and you’re all set for a great lunch or dinner out in Terrigal. Their signature range is hard to choose from, but the Lychee Raspberry inspired martini was DELISH!
We cannot go past the hospitality though, from the moment you walk through the door, to the moment you leave, you feel a part of the family. The service is incredible!
I recommend the Kingfish Ceviche, an absolute favourite dish of mine and quite honestly the best I have had on the Central Coast! Also the Miang Kham, Braised Brisket and Thai Beef Salad, all dishes I would eat again and again, with aromas to get the mouth watering.

3. The Pickled Toastie – the Entrance
Having recently returned to the Coast after being away for many years, Belinda and Jason have returned, bringing their concept all the way from family visits in Melbourne and eating delicious toasties in their shops down there.
Knowing the humble toastie is the perfect fit for the Coast’s relaxed lifestyle and finding the perfect location, near the waterfront in the Entrance, it was a no-brainer for chef Jason, who has a love for freshly made food.
But don’t be fooled; this is not your average toastie! Their menu is made up of a delicious array of fully loaded goods between fresh sourdough, served with a side of crisps and, of course, a pickle!
Their bestseller, without doubt is the Rueben, selling out daily. They have a Breakie Toastie, which is the perfect way to start your day or grab on your way back from your early surf.

5. Oya Bowl – East Gosford
New kid on the block and go-to for the best Ramen and Donburi around, Oya Bowl Bar on Victoria Street is already turning heads. With a passion for making their own broth, chashu and karaage from scratch. We know that this cute restaurant will quickly become a Coastie fave!
