The largest outdoor Christmas event on the Central Coast is back for 2023.  Happening on Sunday, December 3 at a new venue (and one of the Coast’s most-loved) local club; Mingara Recreation Club, the Central Coast Christmas Fair is looking to bring more Christmas cheer to the Coast than ever before.

In its 16th year, and certainly getting better with age, the Central Coast Christmas Fair promises to be a fun family day out.  With a strong support local focus (not to mention the dreaded cost of living crisis) the team at Hart Events has ensured that the event is free to attend for the first time in a long time.

Hart Events Owner Liz Hart commented;

“The idea is to connect our community in the spirit of Christmas and encourage as many Central Coast locals as possible to shop small this year.  At the Fair, you’ll be able to meet local makers and creators, and buy local handmade gifts, arts, crafts, clothing and fresh produce from 160+ vendors.”

You can guarantee to end what’s been a rough year on a high at the Central Coast Christmas Fair. Between 9am – 2pm on Sunday, December 3 you’ll be able to browse everything from summer sun dresses to outdoor furniture to fresh cherries, handmade glass ornaments, an international pick-n-mix lolly stand to handcrafted leather products and more. While shopping, catch a festive tune from the incredible buskers scattered around the vendors, which will be brought to you by local legends Fairplay Entertainment.

For those who find shopping (especially at this time of year) a tad on the stressful side, there’ll be distractions (or de-stressors) aplenty about. Sit in the shade and enjoy the light breeze while watching some of the Coast’s best local talent on the live stage.  Or grab yourself some sustenance to help you continue there’ll be the most delicious food on offer from our international food vendors onsite such as Gozleme, Southern Fried Chicken, Greek, Dumplings and so much more.

Now, would Christmas be as joyful without seeing the wonder it brings to the kids?  We think not. They will certainly not be bored with the entertainment on offer by Party Chameleon.  Expect lawn games (think Giant Jenga, bowling and giant blocks), running races, Christmas characters and free face painting all day. The Crud Muffins will also curate a vibrant creative space for all kids (even the big kids) that is nostalgic whimsically designed to indulge the senses, and fill your heart with joy.

Hit 101.3 is bringing festive cheer with craft, giveaways and fun activations. Piccolos Party Hire will amuse the kids with clowns, giant inflatables and rides. Couple that with heaps of other fun kids vendors selling everything from fun Christmas headbands, plaster fun kits, kids toys and fidgets and the little ones will leave hyped and excited for the big man to deliver them some cracking pressies from our epic local makers.

Not forgetting the big man himself, Santa (and his pal the Grinch, alongside Buddy the Elf) will be there in full force on his old school fire truck. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the delightful dancing and singing elves roaming the event spreading Christmas joy and slinging some free candy canes.

There will be stacks of free parking onsite at Mingara, but this year we are also offering premium parking right next to the entry so it’s a no-fuss option to avoid lugging kids, shopping and prams back to the car.
