The Entrance locals have had the desire for modern, buzzing venues and Sydney renowned pub owner Andrew Thomas is bringing just that! He is at the final stages of The Entrance Hotel revamp, with a freshly $6 million makeover, rebranding it as The Entrance Social Club. Just last year Thomas had completed a multi-million dollar renovation of the famous Oak’s Hotel in Neutral Bay which has been a major hit for the North Shore region and Thomas knew The Entrance was in high demand for a successful replica. Mr Thomas expresses, “The Entrance is an incredible location with first-class views and waterways, there just needs to be some time, money and effort into what it has to offer in terms of food, entertainment and experiences.”
The Entrance Social Club renovations have been completed in phases, with two uniquely designed spaces. The first being Taffy’s; a quirky decorated Sports-Bar featuring retro games and surrounded by pop-culture references. Taffy’s offers an electric atmosphere to watch all major sporting events including both national and international sports; NRL, NBA, NFL- Super Bowl, Golf, UFC and more. Taffy’s Sports Bar also hosts entertainment such as Trivia nights, gaming comps and other entertainment daily. Guests can take a seat in one of the low-level style lounges, glue their eyes to the surrounding mega screens, or sit at their own booth featuring a personal TV screen.
The second space, Mrs May’s Bistro and Bar, is undergoing the final stages of its renovations, looking to be complete by June. Mrs May’s is a statement space designed by Pony Design Co, featuring soft modern feminine tones, sexy curves and a range of intricate textures. Flowing outside to a dog-friendly, stunning courtyard and sundrenched deck, equipped with tasteful umbrellas and greenery. You won’t be hooked from the delicious foods and signature cocktails alone, come Friday to Sunday, you’ll be out of your seats and dancing under the stars to some amazing local/ national talent performing on the newly established stage.
Both bars of The Entrance Social Club will cater on-tap craft beers, daily food specials, signature cocktails and a mind-blowing selection of tequila, spiced rum and Japanese whisky. On the menu, you can expect fresh seafood favourites with a spin, delicious bar snacks and traditional pub classics with a mouth-watering twist. The Entrance Social Club also caters for the home-body, with its craft-beer exterior bottle shop presenting local and international labels and committing to the style of the entire cool venue design.
The Entrance Social Club will go live the first week of June with an exclusive invite-only launch event for fellow invitees to indulge. Guests will be greeted with flutes of Piper Heidsieck champagne on arrival, followed by tastings of the menu and Wayward Seltzer’s flowing on-tap, surprise entertainment and live music acts throughout the evening.
