Whats on central Coast

La Gioia, Erina

Translated it simply means, ‘the joy’ and what a joy it is! A family owned and operated business, with owners Courtney and Giuseppe (also known as Joe) both working in the restaurant.

Giuseppe’s goal is to bring the Central Coast a taste of Tuscany, where he grew up. So he invites you to indulge in an exquisite culinary journey, embracing the authentic flavours and heartfelt traditions of Italy. Each dish has been crafted by Joe with passion, using only the finest ingredients to ensure a truly remarkable dining experience.

When you dine at La Gioia, Courtney and Joe want you to have the type of experience where the aspects of food, wine, service and atmosphere combine to ensure it is joyful. “The joy of making memories around the table”.

The menu is a selection of Italian favourites, from a 3-hour slow-cooked osso bucco, to a four cheese gnocchi and all the extras you simply cannot go past.

Don Pedros, Umina Beach

One version of happiness for me is eating tacos and drinking margaritas. You can’t be mad when these two things are combined and you can now get this exact combo in Umina thanks to Don Pedros opening their third location. Their menu sticks closely to authentic flavours and options and if you’re a lover of Mexican food, I highly recommend checking this one out.

Skina’s Coffee House, Erina

A local hospitality queen has taken over this little gem in Karalta Plaza, Erina. Still finalising their menu, we are expecting this to become a new favourite. Check out their socials for more info.

The Cnr., Woy Woy

Same great taste, with a new location. Moving to some bigger, more cozy digs on Chalmers Place, this is going to be a winter favourite for sure. Brewing delicious Mecca coffee and serving a range of delicious toasties, we recommend getting down there soon.

Benny’s at Wyee Nursery

Not yet opened, Benny’s will be located within the Wyee Nursery. They will be pouring Glee coffee (a much-loved local roaster) and serving simple snacks. A side of nursery shopping and it makes for a very nice little outing.

She Takes the Cake, Wyong

When a simple act of kindness turns into a successful business venture. This is exactly what happened for India, who kindly made a cake for a colleague back in 2018 and found a passion. Fast forward to today and the first week of June saw her opening her very own bricks and mortar storefront. So, if you’re needing a specialised cake for an event or celebration, get in touch via her website now.

Balanced Bowls, Bateau Bay

A fresh and healthy option has opened in Bateau Bay Square. As the name suggests, they serve up freshly made and well balanced, healthy bowls of warm goodness. The perfect lunch option all year round. Check out their socials here.

Noodl, coming soon to Gosford

Details on this one are hard to come by. A single sign spotted in the south end of Gosford has eyes eagerly peeled and ears spiked! A lover of Asian eats, I am all attention in anticipation.

Follow them on Instagram to keep up to date with any details as they come to hand.

Bamboo Buddha, Holgate

Breathe in, breathe out. It’s back! One of the most tranquil cafe settings on the Central Coast is reopening and I am breathing the biggest sigh of relief. If you haven’t yet experienced the beautiful gardens, do yourself a favour and head out for a visit. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Check out Bamboo Buddha here.

Big Little Brewing, Gosford

Grand opening weekend happening on the King’s birthday long weekend in June. Another amazing brewery for our local community. We cannot wait to try a cold frothy here!

Lemmy’s Deli, Terrigal

Coming to Terrigal beach in September, serving fully loaded, gourmet sandwiches, I am feeling a regular lunch spot and I’m not complaining. Find out what you can expect via their socials.

Hole in Fun

Written with Tasman Robertson (8 years old)

An indoor mini golf haven has opened for all of our enjoyment, bringing mini golf back to the Central Coast. This amazing place opens 7 days a week, how fun.

Their course consists of 18 holes, broken into two sections. The first which are colourful, fun and suitable for everyone are known as Club Carnival. Whereas the back 9 holes are called Trickshot Alley, where you’ll find some of the most radical mini golf holes you’ve ever seen.

Families of all ages are invited, although you need to be 4 years old to putt (if you’re under 4 you’re welcome to come and watch your family at no cost). You can get a family of 4 in for less than $65.

With a bar and cafe onsite, it’s an easy and fun option for a day out with your family. Bare-feet course, no shoes required! Find them on Facebook.

Location: 37 Sunny Bank Rd, Lisarow NSW 2250.

Vero Aquatics

Aquatic enthusiasts and fish tank novices now have a place to spend any residual income burning a hole in their pockets. Some people have indoor plants for therapy and others have fish.

What started out as a hobby for owners Jag and Veronica quickly turned into a passion, which then turned into Vero Aquatics, and their first physical store opening in Erina.

Vitamin infusions are a popular trend in the health and wellness industry and have gained popularity due to their numerous benefits. The VitaDrip offers a range of vitamin infusions that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer.

Vitamin infusions are beneficial because they deliver vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system, for quicker and more efficient absorption. They can help to boost the immune system, increase energy levels, improve hydration, and promote overall health and wellness.

The Vita Drip’s vitamin infusions are also designed to target specific health concerns such as fatigue, stress, anxiety, and even hangovers. The business also offers packages for athletes and fitness enthusiasts to help improve performance and recovery.

Davina is a personal trainer and as a working mum, loves the idea of offering people a relaxing sanctuary to disconnect and, well, recharge.

Andrew works with many athletes and also wanted to create a space to help with recovery. The services they offer combine both relaxation and recovery, making it suitable for everyone.

Here you can recharge your body with their infrared sauna sessions, contrast or compression therapy.

Long Jetty Farmers Markets – Long Jetty

If you love fresh produce that’s been regeneratively farmed, locally on the Central Coast then the Long Jetty Farmers Market is for you. Launching June 14 and held fortnightly on Tuesdays from 3-6pm at The Clam Church opposite the Diggers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With sustainability and community in mind, these markets will be sure to nourish our bodies, minds and hearts. Buy all your fresh produce, meat, dairy, bread, honey, wine and veg straight from the people who grow/make them. How good?

Come say hi at The Clam, 204 The Entrance Rd, Long Jetty
