Sam said that for too long getting an eye test and choosing glasses had been a boring task for many.
“I remember when I was 12 years old, I dreaded going to the optometrist,” he said.
“It was so clinical and boring but now the whole family can come in and have fun – kids can choose funky colours and awesome brands and lie upside down on a boogie board in the store to see if their glasses suit, and not get in trouble.
“It’s the whole experience – we want people to walk out and know they made the right choice for their active lifestyles on the beach or when playing sport, not just for when they’re behind a computer or a book.”
When Sam says they cater for the whole family, it’s not just the kids he’s referring to – even four-legged friends can sport a pair of specs when shopping at Adrenaline Optometry.
“We kept hearing of local dogs getting eye infections when swimming so we wanted to help pet owners too, and have introduced a really cute and affordable range of dog goggles.”
