Here are seven of the best Christmas and festive events happening across the Coast in 2025. Let the celebrations begin!

Christmas Events on the Central Coast in 2025

1. Carols in the Stadium

Get ready to belt out the chrissy classics under the stars, because Carols in the Stadium is coming to the Central Coast. Happening Saturday 20 December at polytec Stadium, this event’s got everything: a special guest performance by Bella Taylor Smith (winner of The Voice), live carols from local school and community choirs, food trucks doing their thing, and kids’ activities so you can actually enjoy the night without chasing toddlers.

But it’s not just about the music. As the sun sets and people start to crack their glow sticks, there’s something pretty special about the community coming together to celebrate the wonder and spirit of Christmas. So text your mates and get everyone together for a magical night under the stars.

From a practical point of view, you’ll need to bring a picnic blanket, snacks, festive accessories, and of course, plenty of Christmas cheer. Crowd size expected to be big – book ahead. Gates open from 4:30 pm, with the show kicking off at 5:30 pm.

Book your tickets at carolsinthestadium.com.au

2. Avoca Beachside Markets, Twilight Edition

One of our personal faves (they ride the #supportlocal wave just as hard as we do), the Avoca Twilight Markets are a must-do.

Happening Saturday 6 December from 4 pm to 9 pm at Heazlett Park Foreshore, this beloved annual event transforms their usual markets into a twinkling twilight celebration. Stroll through 100+ outdoor market stalls filled with handmade gifts, homewares and Christmas treats, plus live music, roving singers, food trucks and that laid-back Avoca energy we can’t get enough of. Oh, and word is Santa’s dropping by too!

It’s the perfect spot to tick off your Christmas shopping list while supporting local makers, and sneak in a picnic dinner while you’re at it. Better yet, tell your friends & make a night of it – grab a drink from the Six String bar, gin bar, or margi bar and settle in by the water.

Free entry, great atmosphere, this is what Christmas on the Coast is all about. Follow @avocamarkets for updates.

3. Central Coast Christmas Fair

If you like your Christmas shopping with a side of sunshine and local makers, the Central Coast Christmas Fair is making its triumphant return in 2025!

On Saturday 29 November from 9 am to 3 pm, the Coast’s biggest outdoor festive market takes over Gosford Showground with more than 100 market stalls. You’ll find one-of-a-kind gifts you won’t see in the big shops, meet the makers behind them, and maybe even cross off that tricky person on your list. Plus there’s kids’ activities, sideshow games, live entertainment, and the chance to snap a photo with all your fave faces – elves, the gingerbread man, and Santa (of course)! Then kick back in the shade and enjoy some tunes. Pups welcome – good bois only, of course.

Avoid the late-December chaos and ditch the shopping centres. Easy, family-friendly and full of joy, this is how you do Christmas shopping, Coastie style. Gold coin entry at the gate, presented by Hart Events.

Festive Things To Do this Christmas on the Central Coast

4. Davistown RSL Christmas Raffle

Kick off the silly season early at the Davistown RSL Christmas Raffle, happening Wednesday 19 November from 7 pm. With over $7,400 in prizes up for grabs – including a Rapid Racer kids’ car, SUP boards, bikes, a Nintendo Switch, gift cards, and heaps more – it’s definitely worth grabbing a few tickets.

Bring the kids along for free Christmas craft and face painting from 5–7 pm, and get a little merry before the draws begin. Winners don’t need to be present, but hey, it’s a good excuse to stay for dinner and soak up the festive buzz.

5. Carols in the Park

Wrap up Christmas Eve with a bang at ‘Carols in the Park’, lighting up Memorial Park, The Entrance on Wednesday 24 December. This relaxed, family-friendly event is all about good tunes, festive fun, and one seriously impressive fireworks finale over the water. There’ll be roving performers, food trucks, market stalls for those last-minute gifts, kids’ activities, and a visit from the big guy in red.

Presented by JC Entertainment and Events and supported by Central Coast Council, a mix of traditional and modern Christmas carols will fill the park – but the real showstopper comes when the sky lights up with fireworks. It’s the perfect way to ring in Christmas on the Central Coast. Just make sure you’re tucked back in bed before Santa comes, of course.

6. Gin-gerbread House Workshop

On Sunday 14 December, the gin legends at Distillery Botanica are teaming up with Adri’s Gingerbread for a hands-on session where you’ll decorate your very own gingerbread house – with a glass of gin in hand.

Each guest gets a pre-assembled gingerbread house ready to decorate, complete with all the lollies, icing, and tools you’ll need, plus a glass of We Three Kings Gin & ginger beer to keep the creativity flowing – the perfect mix of Christmas spirit (& spirits). There’s even an optional grazing board if you’re feeling peckish. Spots are limited (their first 2 sessions sold out super fast), so book now to snag a seat at one of the Coast’s most cheerful Christmas workshops.

7. Gosford RSL Ham Raffles

That’s right – raffles, multiple. Gosford RSL are running Ham Raffles every Tuesday night from 25 November to 16 December in The Gardens. They’ve got a whopping 70 hams up for grabs each week plus a cheeky $200 EFTPOS card.

Each ham comes with a Gosford RSL ham bag – complete with instructions on how to keep your ham fresh in the fridge (because apparently we’re all adults now and need to store more than just leftover takeaway). Draws kick off at 7 pm, and winners need to be present to claim their prize.

8. Christmas Floral Wreath Workshop

If you love a good Christmas craft but want something more grown-up than glitter and glue sticks, this one’s a winner. On Saturday 20 December, Angel Sussurri in Yarramalong is hosting a fresh floral wreath workshop with florist Deborah Buckley Artisan, where you’ll spend the morning sipping a cuppa, learning floral techniques, and creating your own beautiful wreath to take home.

The day runs from 9 am to 2 pm, with all materials included and a long lunch at the restaurant built into the ticket price. It’s the perfect way to ease into Christmas feeling creative (and a little bit fancy). Spots are limited and bookings close 13 December, so get in quick if you want your door looking schmick this year.

9. The Merry Market & Fair at Erina Fair

Back for its second year, The Merry Market and Fair are bringing a full day of festive fun to The Hive at Erina Fair on Saturday 22 November from 9 am to 4 pm. Expect live performances from local dance schools, choirs and bands, heaps of free family entertainment (giant bubbles, face painting, snow cones), plus a great mix of market stalls selling handmade gifts and tasty treats. Bright and busy, when it comes to Central Coast Christmas events, this accessible community celebration is an easy yes.
