There is no doubt that small businesses are the backbone of our Central Coast economy, providing us with local and heartfelt meals, products and services right across the region. Recognising this, the Coasties Card was created by Coasties Mag founder Amy Nelmes Bissett in 2020 with the aim to help fuel the local economy on the Coast, and it has grown ever since to become a much-needed leader in the #supportlocal movement, giving both small businesses and their Coasties customers great opportunities to enjoy life in our shared Central Coast home.
Unlock Great Deals by Joining Coasties Card Today
In April of 2022, Coasties Mag welcomed new owners Nikki Tiedeman and Tash Robertson, two incredible businesswomen and locals with a passion for advocating the #supportlocal movement. They hit the ground running, they have grown the participants in Coasties Card movement to close to 200 local businesses – and have plans to continue to grow this number. Their ultimate aim (and big BTS project they’re working on) is to make it even easier for members to access deals at as many locations as possible with the launch of an app for the Coasties Card.
“We live and breathe the support local movement here on the Coast and the Coasties Card is the perfect vehicle to drive more customers through businesses’ doors.” Owner Nikki commented, “Tash and I are committed to growing the membership and highlighting the great deals that members have access to as well as which businesses are a part of the Coasties Card.”
Tash added, “Our plans to take the card digital are finally happening and we couldn’t be more excited. We can’t wait to make it so much easier for our members to use the card and access the deals.” Said Tash.
To be best informed of how the app is progressing and all the launch details make sure you keep up to date with and are following Coasties Card on socials over at @coastiescard.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can get a Coasties Card?
Only residents on the Central Coast are able to get a Coasties Card. Local businesses wanted to give back to locals who supported them through the pandemic. So, a sweet saving is exclusive for locals.
What’s the Coasties Card?
The Coasties Card is a locals only discount card. Annual membership costs $25 a year which allows members to save every time they support local on the Central Coast. Members sign up, get a physical card in the post and then show the card to unlock a saving in the businesses associated with the Coasties Card.
How much does it cost?
Annual membership is $25 a year. This automatically renews after 12 months, but you cancel any time up to the date of renewal. Or $29 if you would prefer just a one-off annual membership. It works out as less than a take-out coffee per month.
How many times can you use your card?
There’s no limit on how many times you can claim that deal in all businesses, except the beauty businesses who only offer a discount for first time visits. So, you could use your card every night of the week to get a free wine with your main in the likes of The Joker & The Thief or Sunken Monkey or go into a boutique like Miki Finn in Terrigal and get 10% off every time you visit.
