You’d have been hiding under a rock if you hadn’t heard of at least one of these new venues unleashing in the heart of Terrigal.

Let’s call it the changing of the guard, but on steroids. We have seen an abundance of new faces and fit-outs these past few weeks and we cannot wait to check them all out.

New Restaurants – Terrigal, Central Coast

Here’s what we’ve learnt about these new eats.

We’d love to hear your feedback. Where have you checked out so far? What are you chomping at the bit to try?

Bar Terry’s

Taking over where Milky Lane recently left, everyone is asking, who is Terry? We don’t know who Terry is, but we do know he is bringing the taste to Terrigal.

Serving up a range of North American style fares including juicy burgers, succulent ribs, sticky wings and poutine, the menu has a range of delicious options to get you through a lunch or dinner session. We’ve heard this before, they certainly aren’t the first place serving this up, but we have to admit, they do it oh-so-well. The wings are sauced to perfection, do we dare say it … finger licking good, and the Daddy Terry burger is big and beefy with a sweet and spicy tang.

And if you have kids, be prepared to be impressed by the value on offer from the kids menu, light on options but certainly not on size. Tried and tested by my own two kids who consider themselves kids’ menu critics, the cheeseburger quickly had them licking their lips.

The bar is stocked and ready to serve up a full range of drinks including cocktails, tap beers and just about anything you could want to accompany your meal.

They plan on bringing a local vibe into town too, with a range of locals’ nights and events that will have many making this a weekly ritual.

If you’re not yet following these guys on the socials, we recommend giving them a follow. We aren’t the only ones recently impressed by the food they’re serving up with many local foodie’s sharing their love and appreciation.

Technically not in Terrigal, but sitting on the outskirts is this new venue from an old favourite. From the legends at Lagune comes Lagune Artisan, taking over one the space near Wamberal Surf club. Here they serve brunch and lunch from Thursday to Sunday from 8:30 to 2:30pm.

Their brekky and lunch service features freshly baked homemade focaccia sandwiches and pastas, the perfect accompaniment to your day!

Their original location (just down the road towards Terrigal) will continue their dinner service which also includes their famous and very authentic pizza menu. Their new location will commence the dinner service from mid September at which time their original venue will convert to deliveries and takeaway only.

Haven Beach Restaurant & Kiosk

Fish and chips, done differently. And done well, very well. The team from Yellowtail in Terrigal have taken over this takeaway tucked away in the corner of the ever-popular Haven.

You can order via the QR codes that are conveniently located throughout the Haven area or at their takeaway window. The menu features the perfect option for a lovely seaside picnic which can be enjoyed at the Haven or at the tables on their deck, looking back towards Terrigal.

This location has always been a favourite of ours and we are now excited to see a menu well worth the visit. You’ll find the usual favourites like fish and chips, burgers and coffee, with some extra special additions to their menu which you can tell has been put together by the A-team (thank you Chef Pauly, Andrew and Scott). Fresh seafood including prawns, sashimi, salad bowls, salt ‘n pepper squid and lobster specials are just a few of the picks from us!

Currently finalising the last of the approval process, the team behind this new bar hopes to open their doors within the next month.

There is already a crowd of people eagerly waiting for the moment they open and if you’re into the rock, metal, punk scene, you’ll be forgiven for joining the hype.

You’ll be able to play on their pinball machines, eating a burger from their menu, while ordering tasty cocktails, or enjoying their large selection of beers and spirits and a huge range of rums.

The music will fit with the theme and you can enjoy some emo punk rock in the heart of Terrigal.

Terrigal Pavillion – coming summer ‘24

You know a community is excited about a new venue when a simple, static social post showing the artist’s impression of it, organically gets tens of thousands of impressions within a few hours!

That’s our community Coasties and we are excited too.

There are talks of the venue receiving a $5 million complete makeover where the Reef Restaurant and Cove Cafe spaces will be transformed into a multi-level eatery overlooking the beach back towards Terrigal.

Keep an eye on their socials to keep up to date!
