Guide to the Central Coast June Long Weekend 2026

Twilight at Ettalong Beach and Toukley
Friday 5 & Saturday 6 June, 4–6.30pm
Ettalong Beach Foreshore and Toukley Village Green

If your perfect long weekend plan involves slowing down, grabbing takeaway and watching the sky change colours by the water… Twilight has your name on it. These relaxed evening pop-ups bring live local music, ambient lighting and easy foreshore vibes to Ettalong Beach and Toukley Village Green.

There’ll be busking-style performances from local musicians, cosy little spots to sit and soak it all in, plus free ice cream on Friday night for the early birds (while it lasts). Grab dinner from a nearby cafe, bring a picnic rug and settle in before the winter chill properly kicks in.

Author Night: Fiona Wright
Friday 5 June, 6pm–8pm | Umina Beach Book Nook

Cosy book chats on a cold night? Dreamy. Bookish people are invited to celebrate Fiona Wright’s debut novel, Kill Your Boomers – and you’ll probably leave with a growing “to be read” pile and at least three new recommendations scribbled in your Notes app. Independent bookstores putting on events like this are one of life’s great pleasures.

Creative Journey Open Studio Art Trail 2026
Saturday 6 June – Monday 8 June

Attention art lovers – more than 60 studios, galleries and creative spaces will be opening their doors across the Central Coast this June long weekend, just waiting to show you around. The self-guided trail offers a rare insider access to the workspaces of local painters, ceramicists, sculptors, photographers and makers. Running from the coast to the hinterland, the event also includes workshops, demonstrations and plenty of chances to purchase original works directly from the artists themselves. Meet the makers.

Sculpture at Wagstaffe
Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 June, 9am–4pm | Wagstaffe Hall

More than 20 Central Coast sculptors will showcase around 60 works across wood, metal, ceramics, glass and found objects, with everything from smaller affordable pieces through to large-scale statement works on display. There’ll also be the chance to meet the artists at the official opening on Saturday afternoon, with proceeds helping support emerging young artists on the Coast through the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts.

The Overwhelm Reset Workshop
Saturday 6 June, 11am–2pm | Salt Space Yoga Studio, Charmhaven

If this year’s already felt a bit full-on, consider this your sign to properly slow down for a few hours over the long weekend. We’ve found a workshop designed for women feeling mentally stretched, emotionally fried or stuck in permanent “go mode”, combining breathwork, meditation, qigong and nervous system support techniques in a calm, welcoming space. Think of it as a little winter reset for your brain and body.

Taste of Wyong
Saturday 6 June, 10am-1pm | Frank Ballance Memorial Park, Wyong

Wyong’s $5 food trail is back, and it’s bringing the flavour. Taste of Wyong returns with tasting boxes from some of the best Central Coast restaurants – for just five bucks a pop. There’ll be live music & plenty to keep the kids busy, so it’s the perfect family-friendly excuse to eat your way around town without breaking the bank. Bring cash, bring your appetite and dig in.

Westy’s Place Field Day + Camp Out
Saturday 6 June | 1650 Wisemans Ferry Road, Central Mangrove

This one’s got family fun written all over it. Head to Westy’s Place for hands-on macadamia picking, potato digging, vintage tractors, jumping castles, craft, face painting, live music, RFS, SES and more – plenty to tire out the kids. Easy bedtime coming right up!

Or if you don’t feel like heading home once the sun goes down, you can roll straight into the Westy’s Place Camp Out! Live music, fire drums, hearty local feeds, camping under the stars and a proper country brekkie the next morning. The kids will think it’s the greatest thing ever – and there’s something pretty nice about waking up to fresh hinterland air instead of the usual Sunday morning chaos. (book tix in advance if you want to stay)

Dam Day Out
Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 June | Mangrove Mountain Visitor’s Centre, Mangrove Creek

Time to take Mangrove Creek Dam off your to-do list. Dam Day Out is full of hands-on activities, live music, kids’ shows, water-wise workshops and a free sausage sizzle. Explore the site, chat to the water education team, and enjoy the kind of views that make you stop and say “whoa.” There’s no parking on site, but a free shuttle bus will run all day from Pioneer Park (next to Kulnura Memorial Hall).

Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show
Saturday 6 June, 4pm & 6pm
The Art House, 19/21 Margaret Street, Wyong

Sleeping Beauty gets a glowing reimagining this June long weekend, with Ballet of Lights bringing the classic fairytale to life through illuminated costumes, contemporary ballet and a whole lot of visual magic.

With a small cast of dancers and minimal props, this one’s all about movement, music and the way the glowing lights transform the stage around them. It’s dreamy and a little bit hypnotic — you’ll be completely mesmerised.

Outdoor Cinema on Yorky Waters
Saturday 6 June, 5–9pm | 156 Yorky Waters Road, Kulnura

How about something straight out of a winter movie montage? This family-friendly movie night is bringing the cosy country vibes, with a screening of SING 2 among paddocks and bushland as part of Harvest Festival. Expect picnic rugs, fire pits, heaters, snack bar for the kids and mulled wine for the grown-ups – plus local food stalls and a coffee cart to keep everyone happy. Settle in for a magical night under the stars – just remember to bring blankets & layers, it gets chilly in the hinterland.

Bambinos on the Farm
Sunday 7 June | 993 George Downes Drive, Kulnura

If your idea of a perfect long weekend includes orange picking, citrus-y treats and a good coffee – Bambino’s on the Farm has you sorted. There’ll be market stalls, live music, lawn games, and plenty of spots to park your picnic rug and chill. Bring the fam, bring the dog, and make a day of it.

Note:  Tickets must be pre-purchased, and they come with a produce bag that you can fill straight from the orchard.

Wyong Milk Factory June Long Weekend Festival
Sunday 7 June, 10am–1pm | Wyong Milk Factory

There’ll be a Kindifarm petting zoo packed with baby goats, ducklings, rabbits and guinea pigs, face painting, live music, local market stalls and enough food and coffee to keep everyone happy, plus indoor & outdoor playgrounds, creek views (you might get lucky & spot a platypus) and epic pub meals. The kids are entertained, the grown-ups can actually sit down for five minutes, and nobody has to ask “what are we doing now?” every half hour.

World’s Largest BBQ Cooking Lesson Attempt
Saturday 7 June | Zestiny Farm, Central Mangrove

For anyone who spent their childhood convinced they could break a Guinness World Record one day… your moment may have arrived. Zestiny Farm is aiming to host the world’s largest BBQ cooking lesson, with more than 336 people cooking veggie burgers and garlic bread together using emissions-free Vehicle-to-Load technology. There’ll be professional chefs guiding the lesson, plenty of hands-on cooking and a pretty great excuse to say you helped break a world record over the long weekend. Bonus points: it’s all raising funds for OzHarvest.

King’s Birthday High Tea
Sunday 7 June, 12–2pm | Cecilia’s, Toowoon Bay

This one’s a bit fancy – get dressed up, sip tea from fine china and pretend you’re a much more elegant person than usual for a couple of hours. Cecilia’s is putting on a gorgeous King’s Birthday long weekend high tea with sparkling on arrival, warm scones, finger sandwiches, sweet little treats and live guitar in the background while everyone slowly debates whether they really need a second scone (they do). Only 50 spots available, so this one’ll disappear quickly.

Harvest Festival

Enjoy a touch of country life at Harvest Festival. Image supplied

If you’ve ever wanted to peek behind the farm gate, Harvest Festival is your chance. Wholesome fun held right across the Central Coast hinterland this June long weekend.

Every year we tell ourselves we’ll just check out a couple of stops… and somehow end up spending the whole day snacking, exploring and loading the car with local goodies.

With over 40 event hubs from Spencer to Jilliby, Mangrove Mountain to Mardi and everywhere in between, you’ll find fruit picking, farm tours, market stalls, tractor rides, live music, arts and crafts, cooking demos and heaps more. Some places have fire pits, some have animals – you never know what you’ll stumble across.

It’s the perfect excuse to hit the road, breathe some fresh country air and see what we’re growing, making and celebrating over on the other side of the M1.

Some activities are free, others you’ll want to book ahead. So grab your gumboots and make a day (or two) of it.
