You know the feeling when someone first mentions Christmas each year? For some, it’s pure joy and excitement, with dreams of tree-decorating, gingerbread-baking and Mariah Carey on repeat. Central Coast Santa Photos 2025
1. Central Coast Santa, North Avoca

There’s something pretty special about swapping the standard shopping centre setup for sandy toes and a salty breeze. Central Coast Santa has become a much-loved tradition for local families, redefining how we do Santa photos on the Central Coast. It’s iconic for a reason – relaxed sessions on private beachfront grounds at North Avoca, that’s the kind of Coastie magic you can’t recreate in a studio.
Every year, families return for the same reason: it’s easy, it’s joyful, and it captures the real spirit of a Central Coast Christmas. Santa’s beach sessions feel more like a day out than a photoshoot – the kids can run around and the smiles are 100% real. The atmosphere is friendly and unhurried, and once you’ve grabbed that perfect shot with Santa, you can head straight down for a splash in the surf.
Everyone’s welcome here. Santa loves meeting families and friends, and he’s got a soft spot for your pets (he insists they count as family, too). Each session is pre-booked and beautifully run, meaning no lining up for hours or juggling restless kids in an already-overwhelming setting. Just natural, joy-filled moments with the big man himself. You’ll walk away with keepsakes that are totally wall-worthy.

And because this is the Central Coast, sunshine is (almost) guaranteed! But if the weather doesn’t play nice, no stress – sessions are easily rescheduled, so you’ll still get that picture-perfect day without any grey skies. With a professional photographer behind the lens, flexible package options, and that unbeatable beachside setting, Central Coast Santa is a photo experience that quickly becomes a family tradition. It’s more than just a photo; it’s a holiday experience that you and your loved ones will cherish forever.
Sessions run across weekends from November 22 through to December 14, with digital, print, acrylic and canvas packages available to suit every family. So ditch the queues, pack your Santa hats and sunnies, and book your spot at centralcoastsanta.com.au – because Christmas photos at the beach? It doesn’t get more Coastie than that.
2. Santa Paws, Forresters Beach

Whoever said “never work with kids or animals” clearly hasn’t met the team at Santa Paws. This Forresters Beach fave has built a name for making Christmas photos fun, relaxed, and full of personality – no matter how many paws, tails, or toddlers are in the frame (and here we are struggling to get just 1 child to look at the camera and smile!).
Now, despite the name, you don’t need a pet to join in. Santa Paws welcomes everyone – from big family groups to couples, kids, and solo fur babies – and they make it all look easy. Their indoor studio is decked out in festive style, with lighting and backdrops that make every shot feel bright, warm, and Christmassy (without the chaos). You’ll walk away with photos that capture your crew exactly as they are – playful, imperfect, and full of love.

Run by local photographer Courtney, Santa Paws has mastered the art of turning a busy family shoot into a stress-free experience. Sessions are short, sweet, and surprisingly smooth, with every detail handled so you can simply show up, smile, and soak up the festive vibes. They can even accommodate reactive dogs – just contact the team before booking so they can arrange a closed set and make sure everyone feels comfortable. It’s the perfect blend of professional polish and down-to-earth Coastie charm.
Sessions will run on weekends from November 8 to December 14 at their Forresters Beach studio, with 10 minute sessions for $80. Each shoot is pre-booked to keep things calm and organised, so you can focus on the fun part: making memories. To lock in your spot, visit santapawspetphotography.com.au

4. Santa on the Beach, North Shelly
Bringing together two Coastie Christmas icons – the ocean and the big man in red – Santa on the Beach offers a relaxed, sun-soaked photoshoot at North Shelly Beach. Central Coast photographer Katie loves capturing families as they really are: playful, chaotic and full of heart. As a mum to two neurodiverse kids, she knows exactly how to make everyone feel comfortable and seen. Her calm approach (and sense of humour) means kids are relaxed, parents can breathe, and even Santa gets in on the laughs. Their Santa isn’t just any Santa either – he’s a grandfather and professional entertainer who knows how to connect with kids of all ages. And this year? He’s gone and grown himself a REAL beard – talk about dedication! Not a fan of the big guy? No problem. He’s happy to hang back while Katie captures festive family moments that still feel totally magical.

For $99, you’ll get 10 high-resolution edited images delivered straight to your inbox within a week, ready to print, post or wrap under the tree. Top Tips for Santa Photos
Accessibility & pets: Many Central Coast photographers and shopping centres now offer Sensitive Santa sessions for families who prefer a quieter, low-sensory experience – think soft lighting, gentle sound, and plenty of patience. There are also pet-friendly shoots across the Coast, so your furry (or even feathered) family members don’t miss out on the festive fun. Just double-check the listing before booking to make sure it suits your crew.
What to wear: Comfort wins every time, especially for beach or outdoor sessions. Neutral tones with a pop of festive colour (like red, gold, or forest green) photograph beautifully against both sand and studio backdrops. If you’re wrangling little ones or pets, go for breathable fabrics and shoes you can kick off easily. Bonus points for Santa hats, subtle matching outfits, or anything that makes your family’s personality shine.
Book early: The good ones go fast! Weekends and golden-hour time slots are usually snapped up first, especially for beachside shoots and low-sensory sessions. Many photographers open bookings as early as October, so the earlier you secure your spot, the better chance you’ll have at those dreamy pre-Christmas photos, without the stress.
Extra tip: If you’re booking an outdoor Santa session, keep an eye on the weather. Most Coastie photographers are great at rescheduling if the rain rolls in – because a soggy Santa hat just doesn’t have the same magic.
Ho Ho Ho! Merry snapping, Coasties x
